Sorry to hear this Heather....but every cloud has a silver lining. At least you are still able to go to Arillas in September....and your family is coming home. Hope you manage to find another job....

So sorry about your job, as you say there are now quite a few forum members now in the same position, glad that you will still get to Arillas even if a little later than you planned. I remember reading about your trip to see your daughter and grandaughter...... and now they are coming home....  wonderful news.... will it be permanent?

It would be so easy to say "Go to Arillas, your dreams will all come true." Well heather luvver, even I am here with you in this hard, tough, real world.  Our October fags have run out. We have to struggle with roll-ups. The heating oil company wants to up our monthly payment to double, which we can't afford. We now eat the cheapest (if healthy) food. That would be my last sacrifice after vodka and fags.... The list could go on.

But do you know? Because I saw this coming, I booked our flights and Bardis Sun Studios so we could cope with the onslaught. We have HOPE. And friends to support us. People like yous. People like John and Dot.

I will survive, and so will you.

Yet again I find myself answering a post in the public board. I want to welcome all our guest viewers to the truth about our Arillas community.

Totally deprecated by the tour operators, the invisible  bay between Agious Georgios and San Stefanos is Arillas. It is calm and peaceful. Nobody does anything quckly, and nobody worries. Life there is for living and enjoying. It is laid back and tolerant. Tons (tonnes for Europhiles) of Corfiots descend on it in August because it represents their idea of a perfect holiday.

When the Tour Operator tells you to go to Turkey, think again. Your hard earned money would be better spent in Arillas. In safety and peace, amongst friends. You will certainly make some new friends in Arillas.
