Wine Festival 2010

For the past three years we have been lucky to be in Arillas when the Dance and Music festival has been on. This year we will be in Arillas from 30th August to the 13th September. Does anyone know if the Wine Festival will taking place this year and if so will it be during the dates above?

I really hope it is on when we are there after seeing all of the photos and videos from previous years.

Myself and my missus have been there the last 2 years as well and we are there again the same time as yourselves in September so hopefully it is there again withing that time frame

I've been told that the wine festival is on the 10th and 11th September, so have booked my holiday to be there at that time. I love to see the dancing and hear the Greek music so I'm really looking forward to my holiday in Arillas even more than usual.

Pete and I had planned to be at the wine festival a few years ago, we were really excited. Shame to say it didn't work out as it was the year of the fire's so it was cancelled as the locals didnt feel good celabrating when so much was at peri, and I believe they put some money in the funds.
We also planned it for another year but it did not take place untel the weekend after because the grapes wern't just right, I have been told that this can not really be forcast tell the weekend before.
We do hope to get to the wine feast sometime but in the meantime look forward to all the reports from you that will be there. Viv

Thanks for the warning Viv, we'll all have fingers crossed that this year everything will go according to plan....with lots of warm sunny weather to ripen those grapes!

We will be there this year for wine festival-soooo excited. What time does it usually start, is there food aswell or is it advisable to line the stomachs before going??

We have been to a couple of Wine Festivals and yes there is food on sale but we would normally eat first and then go to the Festival, once it has really got going.
