Good old Palmair

Slight signs of hope tonight....

Went on the EJ website this morning and all but the very earliest flights of the day to Greece had been cancellled....together with ALL their Greek flights tomorrow.

I phoned Palmair, who calmly said nothing was yet confirmed, although we would get our money back if it is cancelled.... so I have spent all day at work wondering if I should book Friday's EJ flight from Bristol.

At 5pm I could stand it no longer so phoned Palmair again. My flight is the only one they do to Greece and it only goes once a week so it seems they have spent all day negotiating with the authorities and have provisionally arranged to fly us out 5 hours later, to arrive in Corfu at 00.15, just after the strike ends at midnight. How sensible is that?

The lady is phoning us all in the morning when the flying slot has been confirmed.

SO....fingers crossed and I'd better get packing...

Martin W....maybe there are some advantages to flying from a small airport with a minor airline. Had I booked EJ for tomorrow I would have been cancelled by now.

Hi Sandy!
Just checked Cardiff CWL. They are working the same scheme as Bournmouth, all Greek flights have been put forward to arrive after midnight when the strike ends. All other flights are on schedule for 6th and 7th so far.I have just 'phoned Dorita at the Bardis Sun Hotel. She says that all should be normal after midnight, priority is being given to holiday flights from other EU countries, Greek airlines are most likely to be canceled altogether.
Get those bags packed, Bon Voyage to you and your dad, think positive. See you there!
