Wish You were Here?
« on: November 12, 2009, 06:56:00 PM »
I've had one of those days today. I went to the funeral, yesterday, of a lovely neighbour who died suddenly so I was feeling really sad. Sharon's photo's perked me up and I heard one of my favourite Xmas songs at lunchtime. So I did this and I feel a bit better, but I Wish I Was There!!!!

Thanks for the comments. Every video on YouTube that has the word "Arillas" in its Tags could mean that someone will seek out more information, and hopefully go there.

Eileen The song details are .......

Wish you here - by - Blackmore's Night from the Album "Winter Carols"

The band is Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple/Rainbow) and Candice Night

I love the album and especially this song .....and its a lovely Christmas Video

Loved that one too Terry.

I've never heard of Candice Night but no doubt her name will be cropping up more often now!

Thanks for the links. :-)

Think this is one video clip that I'll be playing time and time again over the dreary winter months.
Many thanks for posting this Terry.

Terry mate, heart-strings suitably tugged. Have watched it several times now.

Wish you were here -
Don't you know the snow is getting colder
And I miss it like hell, and I'm feeling blue....

Was the slide of the bench especially for me? But it was empty - no Sandy, no Phil no anybody. Guess it's like that now. Let's put that right one day. Jen and me will miss you and helen next summer I believe, but it is on my agenda... I never forget!

Thanks for the sparkle. Glad to see you bringing it back to our forum

Phil

I will say sorry now Phil :-)

As you said
Quote
Thanks for the sparkle. Glad to see you bringing it back to our forum

And because Sandy said
Quote
Would you invite me too phil? I'll bring vodka.....

And because Sandy and yourself met on THE Beach .......

I had to do this :-(  I think it needed  a Litre Bottle for the cover up :-)

It's back to front Terry. I have a young head on an old body! But I do remember when I looked like that with a young head too... Perhaps that's why Jen married me.

Talking sparkle, I bought a great offer in Tescos today - spend £30 and buy Charles Charpentier champagne for £8 (was £24.99.) Needless to say I now have a bottle waiting to get consumed over new Year....

I'm afraid I'm now more the second paragraph of this post than the first. But we've all had our moments....

lmao
