I am going to show my sons your posts about Norton... he has had terrible trouble the past week with it... his PC crashed and even the online help couldnt do anything... he really thinks its Norton... now we have had reminders too that our Norton is running out and we dont want to renew it now.  Hopefully once he reads all your replies he might be able to figure out what we can do..

Free AVG is much better than Norton and most of the other paid-for ones, in my opinion.  I used it for years, and Lynn has it on her PC and her laptop.  The only antivirus I know of which is even better is Nod32 and this is the one I use now.  It's a paid-for one, but it's not that expensive.  Cheaper than Norton.

Someone did post on here recently that they knew someone that had problems with it, but I've never found any.
