Heloo dear friends and relatives.
After a lot of consideration and thoughts we had to look seriously for an authentic but unusual name for our gorgeous son! There is thousands of Greek and global names that parents would nowadays dare give their children. We were given a Year and a few days in order to take a wise decision for our new family member that was known to you as “Bebis” until today.
Well, a naming day it is a special one for the Greek Orthodox religion. It does not only give a human a proper name but also the first touch of our religious spirit.
The whole Ceremony is said to be a “Μυστήριο” (Mistirio= Mystery) . of the Greek Church. It takes about half an hour and it needs the parents of the Baby , the Nona' (Godmother ) who is announcing the name and also plays the role of the spiritual parent of the child for the rest of his/hers life.
There is more to be said about naming days but time is getting late I ‘m posting some pictures that would finish the story.
The name that you all have been waiting is called
