Agious Spiridon.Past Acharavi and before Kassiopi. One place that is worth a visit if you have transport.
( Although Paul n Maria might attempt to walk it! )
There are two left turnings that reach the beach. The first turning takes you past this lovely Church. This is where they hold their festivals.
Take a trip down to the beach and, turn right by the sign to "Molos Bar" and it brings you to the quieter side of the beach.
Lovely little places here to explore or just take it easy.
I think this property is rented out during the summer, but I may be wrong.
The "other side" of the beach is just as quiet and you can walk, past the fish farm, to Acharavi. ( If the mood takes you, that is )
There is another little church just on the beach if you feel the need to sing a few psalms as a break from "skin darkening"
Ans.....can anyone see Albania in this pic?
We could all be forgiven for thinking this was Arillas, 15 years ago, but that little dream is slightly spoiled by the large complex overlooking the bay.
It's an all inclusive place so, the good news is that, the beach is never too crowded as most guests never wander too far from the pools. The bad news is that it brings very little trade in for the few Tavernas here. But it can also be argued that it employs many people during the summer. ( Swings n Roundabouts maybe )
I think Agious Spiridon is a good place to be for a day out and don't forget to try the "
Karbouris" Taverna.
( Situated just down from the 2nd turning off the main road )
They also have a free swimmimg pool where you can take a dip while food is being prepared or, perish the thought, in between Ouzos.
Worth a note in next years "Things to do"
( Thanks to Wegg for working the camera )
Cheers
