This was the view from our room (facing Afionas) before the storm

the same view when it rained!

this one is towards Kavaddes (not a very good shot as we didnt want to get wet!)

Umbrellas went into the pool... a huge ceramic flower pot and plant was blown in and broke... Mike went in to retrieve it like sunken treasure later... Unbelievable!
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

This was how it looked at Elena Stella at 10 am on the morning of the storm. Yes 10 am and dark!

We sat in the pool bar with another couple (Linda and Andy) who were staying there and drank a few beers. We became really good friends so there was another positive side to it all!

Hi Mart and Dawn. Was lovely to meet you both at Tria Adelphia. Seems they do have silver linings because the next day there was torrential rain, so heavy I've never seen anything like it, and we were stuck in the Coconut bar!

Warm, dry outside and very wet inside....

All the best
Phil

It looks like the middle of the night never mind 10 am but i guess it gave you reason for an early start on the Mythos Phil lol

Storms seem to have a mesmeric effect on people and we`re no different. We love watching them. Are we mad?????

It really was dark at 10am. Flash wouldn't have made any difference. After 20 days of 35 to 40 degree heat it was a real pleasure to see the storm. And my God, it was awesome.

Surprise surprise we all drank several bottles of Mythos. Linda and Andy were also trapped by it. With Phil and Jen? Their livers suffered......... But it was totally enjoyable.

We used to be in a bedroom overlooking the Thames from on high, and watched thunderstorms crashing round the river. They were great. But this one was special.
