I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to send a photograph in a P.M.
Can anyone help or shed some light on where I may be going wrong ?

The easiest way is to do it the same as a topic - ie save it at Photobucket or Imageshack  or similar and then post the link into the message. its best to make sure that the file size of the photograph is not too big. I reckon about 100Kb is about right.
