Hi BillyB. You will regret leaving Bardis Studios for Roda. Well, I'm bound to say it. But I'm right.

We will be staying with Bobby and his lovely family in July. Of course I mean Spiros and Poppy, whose son Bobby has been wooing the residents there for quite a while. But Poppy flower is now yiayia (granny) and Bobby is the dad, while the gorgeous Katerina is young Spiros' mother. We will all share in their joy next summer. When you go to Roda you will feel as if you've been plucked from your Arillas family.

Jeffers, it is genuine. They seem to be friendly because they are. A smile in Arillas results in new friendships. I am living proof of that. Marinos at Horizon will be your perfect host, not because he has to, but because he wants to. Such is the culture in Arillas. Yes, there are exceptions, and sometimes they are stressed, but the whole point of Arillas is accommodating and serving visitors.

It is an obsession for many like me, who have seen all you did and more. Welcome to the fold. Arillas has a grip on many, and now is your last chance to escape....

We did the same last year Phil but this time we're meeting our daughter in Roda . It's always sad to leave but splitting the holiday in 2  seems to make it last longer & we've had great holidays in both places .Like you say the Bardis family are great & we're looking forward to seeing them all.

15th sept mathraki, again for a week, missed last year, with dodgy knee, doubly looking fowards to coming home this time! l

We are all "coming home" Dylan. I have been accused of having too much to say, but all of what I say is about people like you and billyb, jeffers and bella (btw clare might be the right monicker.)

I only ever promote Arillas because it is what I believe to be the truth. And to be perfectly honest, being there with none of the forum and tourists would not alter my view. Jen and I love Arillas unconditionally, and it is the Greek people there who make it possible.

Anybody can have this. It is up to you, yourself.

All
We can only afford one visit every year and again we are booked as usual for Kaloudis from 22nd August for 2 weeks next year.
Phil is just a hero even if he expresses his view in terms which I dont always understand!
What I do know is that we share the same passion for Arillas.
That will never change.
Oliver.

BILLYB

You hit the nail on the head Phil its the people that we've met that make Arillas so special .Only the third time for us but we've fell in love with the place. So welcoming

justphil

Thank you Oliver. I sometimes surprise myself with the words that come from me. I don't always understand what I was saying, but I did when I wrote them. Usually Mythos or vodka frappe to blame.
Quotewe share the same passion for Arillas.
'Nuf said.

Billy, you share a name with the two Vasillis at Kaloudis. Old and young Billy. Take yer pick if you are or want to be old or young. In Arillas nobody cares. So many apologise that they have only been here twice, three times or 23 times. It is your desire to come back which counts, not the numbers. It is what you get from our place. See - I now feel it belongs to me. Many others own it too, but now it is MY Arillas. Life and soul, it will always be MY Arillas.

I fully understand Billyb - It's only my 4th time. I've NEVER been anywhere 4 times in all my years of travel, (maybe the Canaries in the winter for the sun, but never really minded where, as long as the weather was good) I've always wanted to try different places. That's it now I'm finished - I'm caught, hook, line and sinker and don't mind in the least!

justphil

A man is incomplete until he's married. Then he's finished.....

Well I am finished cypress. I am married in every term that it means. I still love her after 43 years, 41 of them married to her.

But we share only 11 years of Arillas. We only met the Bardis family three years ago. Life is strange, but can be beautiful. Jen and I share beautiful, whatever else is going on. We have 40+ years of rehearsing. Now we might actually do it. Ha Ha Ha. If we die tomorrow we have had it all.
