End of Season
« on: February 08, 2008, 02:10:45 PM »
We are visiting the Kaloudis Apts on 23 Sep for two weeks and as it is getting towards the end of season I was wondering if all the Taverns and Bars are still open?

The season actually ends at the end of October but from mid-October some places are beginning to close down. You should be fine the last week of September and first of October.

You could not have picked a more perfect time to go, everything will still be open yet it will be so peaceful and relaxed. Lucky you.

Blindpete, loads of us on here find that you need to take two clothes sizes with you - the food is so good you put loads of weight on while you're there.  You'll love it!

I echo Cheryl, Pete. First time in Arillas for 2 weeks I put on over a stone. They said I looked pregnant when I got back to England! Took months to lose it.

The food is amazing. We all have our favourites, but Thalassa and Graziella on the sea front both tick my boxes. And for fish, ask how to get to Tomas's (Vasalis I think) for the best fish in the area. But Brouklis, Amourada and all the others are wonderful as well. There is no such thing as dodgy food in Arillas as far as I am concerned.

You will have a fabulous time there, and as stated earlier by Joe, September is a perfect time. We went the last week october last year, and although quite a few places had closed, we still had a wonderful time. Bet you can't resist returning after you've sampled it all!

Phil

We have stayed in Arillas for the past two Septembers and have had a wonderful time. Not too crowded, weather still good allthough we did have a storm two years ago,but who cares. Evenings can be a bit chilly, plenty of choice of where to eat.In fact for us the perfect time to be there. Roll on next September!!!

We are going the two middle weeks of September it a while since we have been that late in the season, I am actually looking forward to being able to do things without feeling drained and uncomfortably overheated.
