Arillas Bay (one bedroom)

Hi just to ask, friends of ours have booked the Arillas Bay one bedroom apartments, has anyone stayed in them and are they at the back or front of the block, and what have they such as kettle etc., they know they are ground floor. Can anyone help. Thanks !!

hi sue, we stayed in arillas bay last june, all the one bed apts are behind the three storey block with the balconys around. we had one facing to the back and our friends had one facing the two bed ones. there was a small basic kitchen with a fridge, and grill type thing with 2 hotplates, there was no kettle in our apt but i think our friends had one in theirs. there was no aircon, so it was very hot!! we hired a fan which helped a bit, our apt didnt get much sun as it was at the back, but our friends' was in full sun all the time, so theirs was very hot, if you can, get an apt on the side, they had long balconies and a table and chairs out on the little grass area.
thoroughly recommend graziellas taverna just at the end of the track, arris and his family were fab, so friendly, and the food was gorgeous too, our friends are real foodies, and they were impressed!! and the sunset from there is something to see!

Theres also two one bedroom apartments on the ground floor of the 3 story block.They have a terrace at the front facing the pool and swings and a terrace at the back facing the ground floor 1 bed apartments.The new block at the back are lovely, we stayed there a couple of years ago and had a great time.In the mornings you can hear the waves its lovely.by the way they do have a kettle.Hope your friends have a great holiday.cx

I remember a young couple staying there last year, they said it was very hot in the rooms with no air/con and also the mozzies were a problem, she had about 200 bites in all, must be because its nearer the river I suppose.  Mozzie stuff is a big must especially if they are prone to getting bitten.  In the end because of her suffering from these bites they managed to get the last few nights with Poppy at  Bardis Sun studios.  You might want to warn your friends but not to frighten them too much, they will be ok if they are prepared.  Forewarned is forearmed as they say!
