Just had an email from Bobby at The Bardis Sun, it was a general chitty chatty email but he happened to mention that a fog had descended on Arillas which is a sign of extreme heat, theyre expecting 36 degrees today!!  He said it disappears as the day goes on and i just had a squiz at the webcam and it seems to have lifted now, so people there will no doubt be roasting!!

Yeah course i will, i need to email him back anyway.

He said he hasnt heard a proper London accent since i left haha!!  He said he also asked Nancy to give him a one way ticket to the UK just so he could cool off cos its been that hot!!

He also said that a couple of weeks ago one of his guests went in and asked for a Smiffy cocktail !!

Ive got to send him some pictures of Mexico, hes jealous we're off on holiday bless him, he cant wait for his break.

Mrs Egg on the beach at 9am this morning.
Very strange mist.
Every now and again someone came out the sea. They jsut appeared from the "fog"
It was still warm though with many people "setting up camp" for the rest of the day.

No its not an old black & white photo.......

This was the mist in May this Year ..about 1pm lasted about 4 hrs ...
it was a very strange atmosphere  visibility down to about 20 yards..
very humid,the sea was realy warm & not a ripple on the water...
well not from the breeze....!!!!

Friday was my last day in Arillas and you couldn't see further than a few yards all morning but by midday it had lifted and normal services were resumed. I was there a few years ago and it was like that several days running in August but for most of the day.

We were also there that day (just found this post!).  It was really strange and the silence it created was eerie!  It was me who ordered the Smiffy cocktail - was my first drink in Arillas!!

Haha he found it so funny that someone asked for it by that name, he said at first he thought it was a new drink he knew nothing about, bless him!!

Actually I had the Smiffy vodka, not cocktail!  It was yummy - tasted just like bubblegum!  Smiffy will have to let you know what they both are!  Wonder if they serve them in Mexico?

Cheryl ive found a pub local to me that does the vodka, yum!!

Right the smiffy cocktail is a 'screaming orgasm' by its original name, Bobby at The Bardis apartments makes them, its gorrrrrrgeous!!

The other drink i got started on was the blue vodka, made by Smirnoff with Nordic berries, you have this mixed with 7up, oh it is lush, it tastes like the blue ice poles you can get, therefore not like alcohol so you get quite drunk haha!!  Bobby had to get more supplies of it whilst i was there!

Also if you go in the Malibu bar, order a Malibu Kiss cocktail, oh its divine and its pink, which is always good!!  I used to go every Happy Hour and get 2 for 1, im not an alcoholic, honest!!
