I found Martin W today !
.

.
Alive and well and having a good 'ole rabbit with Colin n Lynn.
And then..... Nan turns up!
Just had to get a pic for Arillas Today. Martin tells me he's walked more miles, taking in the great surroundings here. More miles ,probably, than I can drive in a year - Wotsthatallabout.
( He coulda borrowed my bike! )

And...... I finally caught Sharon, Marina Pool Bar, and persuaded her to join in the photo session for today.
.

She sends her very best wishes to all you Forum guys that shared your time with her over the Summer..

Whoops, Nearly forgot the beach and the very calm waters which came with a temp of around 15 deg.

.
We've "lost" a major part of the beach on the right and the naturist end looks to be a fair 'ole slog to get to it. But it is October and we've had some serious weather here.

.
But, as said, It's a peaceful 'ole sea out there today. Boat and fishing springs to mind.

Colin n Lynn make their way home avrio, around 8:30am , and sorry as always to see good pals leave.

.
The above taken, at Rainbow, just before Lynn beat Colin and I with a first dart hit of double 18. - Thanks Lynn ! - Let me brood over that during the Winter.
( Where did those tungsten darts come from? )

The other lady that beat me 4-2 today is pictured here with proud father Spiros.

Alexandra still throwing a mean dart and taking no prisoners!

Wegg and I hope very much to catch Viv n Pete before Monday so, Viv , if you read this, we should be around Brouklis either Friday or Saturday.
Mustavanatter.

A good day all round but I guess you know that!
Cheers
Negg

Yes we so do know it was a great day Eggy. And couldn't agree more with riggers - those smiling faces! Warmed me right through!! (or was it the voddie??????) So wish we were there too... Still working on a week in half term, but not looking great.

Thanks for spending the time to make such a great post - riggers and me aren't the only ones who appreciate it.

Don't be so hard on her Sandy. We don't all smile when we're winning. She is just being magnanimous in her victory over our Eggy. I would try to, but would end up laying on the floor with my legs in the air!

The point is how much we all connect and socialise in the Rainbow. PhilandJen sit by the pool doing crosswords, justjen swims, eggy throws darts, Erja buys beer, kevandbev join in, helsbels and hubby do darts, afternoons slip by in joy and laughter.... Sounds familair?

Phil

deep sigh here too. Our Erja started the phrase but we all know what it entails... we will be using it forever.

My deep sigh is that we didn't get to be home in September.

Still hoping about next year.

Lynn n Colin

Hope your return, to that wonderful place called the UK, was non delayed and stress free. Keep in touch and keep pounding that board of yours..

A quiet Arillas today and probably made around 16deg but rain free.

Winding down here now and learning to play darts with cold hands.

A few more guests turned up today though. Wotdotheyknow that I don't?

Cheers
Negg

Mary

You could start a new topic - What you love or hate about the UK.
We lived in a lovely West Country Village with great veiws and when the Corfu removal guy turned up it was a really warm peaceful Sunday afternoon.
He got out of his van , had a good look around and  said:-
" What are you moving for? " - All we needed right then!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway , we're off to a dry 15 deg day here around Arillas. Does feel a tad chilly at 9am but we holding off on the heating as long as possible.
Seeing Eileen and Keith later. - They better keep that Villa tidy.

Cheers
Negg

Thanks Neill, it must have been one of our smoothest flights of all, as it happens.  We always like the window seats, but were allocated 2 aisle seats because I opted for a vegetarian meal.  But there was no one in the first two rows so we were able to swap to the front row with loads of leg room.  First time that's ever happened for us!

Yes, we'll definitely stay in touch and keep pounding the board, after all, there's more incentive to miss the wall at home when you know you'll have to fill the holes in!!!
Love,
lynn xx

Hey all, we're all getting emotional. Must be nearly the end of season...

Mary luvver, I have often said I'm not sure where I actually live. Arillas is a village with so much in common with Baltonsborough (where we are for the moment) and that is why we couldn't live anywhere else in the UK. But our Eggy and Weggy have got it right. We would emigrate today if we had the required security ie money. And like them, we would put a plaster over the mouth of that removal man, because we have a similar set of locals who would miss us and whom we would miss just as much. But then we miss our Arillas friends for most of each year...

It's a matter of what you get used to Eggy. I wish it were that warm here - more like 5 degrees, but we have the promise of a warm sunny autumn day to follow. If so, we will be sat in the garden of our local later, doing our puzzles, pretending it is the Rainbow. Strange though - when we're there for real, we never dream of being sat in the Greyhound's garden....

Lynn medear, I'm afraid that Jen and me might not bother filling in the holes... too much like hard work!! P'raps that's why we watch the darts rather than play. The thought of all that Polyfilla makes me come out in a cold sweat!!

Take care all
Phil
