Arillas ( North Corfu ) today, for us , is great.

Why ?  = well , despite the 33 deg at 6 pm and another cracker of a day, it's been special for us because we've got our internet and telephone back after 4 days!
( Think they cut a cable somewhere around the village as our neighbours were without as well.)

So. much catching up to do and back soon. -
(Unless another cable needs to be chopped )

Today she very nearly hit a 6 dart 301 - 174 and 127 out just missing the bull.
Finished in 9 darts.
( I left double 18 after 6 darts but never got a shot )

A very hot  and now busier Arillas today. Seems to be many French now taking advantage of what Arillas has to offer. The next 14 days will be a hectic Arillas, I think.
Temps today? Still at 32 deg at nearly 8 pm.
Saw an exchange rate of e 1.16 this morning. - Maybe e 1.18 by mid August?

( What it was in Arillas today around 3 ish ? - I'll let you work that one out )

Sorry all, but I'd vote for the lovely Marika any day.

And I am devastated to be missing the festival in Arillas on Saturday. With the Italian guest stars and the local performers it will be a corker. Whoever is there, make sure you go along and enjoy. Dimitris, I am expecting pictures.....

hi eggy and just phil, we will be one of the lucky ones who will be there in paradise tomorrow, been a long time coming but now its here, on the road to cardiff airport from west wales at 2-30am arrive in airport approx 4am get rid of luggage then wander around til 7am boarding for 7-20am flight, will be in arillas by 2pm. festival tomorrow then chill for 2 weeks, will visit everyone if possible and sample that wonderful greek hospitality, cant wait, yammas, jinksy

Wish we were going to wander up and say hello, but sadly not. Next year maybe.

hi justphil, thank you for your comments, no doubt we will meet sometime, if you do get to do your wish and become an arillian, then our paths will cross because we will continue to visit this oasis as often as we can.
i am getting exited just thinking about it now and this is our 6th visit, you never tire of the warm welcome you get when you are there, yammas , jinksy

All you lucky people who are there and about to be there, Enjoy.
We did a couple of weeks ago and I know of another couple who did the same
You did enjoy Phil & Jen please say you did....lol

Must agree Phil, Marika is a star, we met her for the first time and she always took time to have a word.
She even crept up on us whilst riding to the beach on her scooter. pulling up outside Vavilis Fish Taverna just to pass the time of day.
A nice friendly and sociable lady.   
It may not be the same but...... I still wish we were there.

John you know in yous hearts how much we enjoyed being with yous both. We get spread very thin if we are in Arillas for only two weeks, and missed quite a few out, but every minute with you and Dot was a relaxed, chilled and enjoyable minute. We owe you one. Maybe next time I'll drive! But justphil justknows you justwouldn't get in the car....

hey everyone! This is me from Arillas, part way into my hols! We had our renewal of vows ceremony on Wed, simply perfect.  We were blubbering idiots THROUGHOUT but what a lovely day. Pics to follow.  The weather has been blistering since we got here, the beach is fantastic, yes a little smaller, but to an Arillas virgin, they would think absolutely beautiful, more than enough for everyone.  (it is only us Arillas addicts that have been spoilt by previous years). met marika, Annie and girls so far.  dont want to come home..:-( :-(
