Arillas is treating us well lazzzyyy days. Is the theme so far just need too wind down
BBQ night at Rainbow last night enjoyed by all and now I am down at the beach all alone watching the early morning waves roll in, what more can you as for......breakfast...best go back and get Dot out of the sack. Another Arillas today awaits

WISH YOU WERE HERE

The weather has changed completely. For us who have been slow-cooked for 10 days, it is so wonderful to have to wear more clothes, not less. Phil was seen on the balcony this morning (a bit early) with a jacket on. Not for long though. As you gather, our search for clouds is over, but if Arillas did clouds they would probably be the best clouds in the world. Even Bobby pointed at some gorgeous formations in the Arillas sky last night.

Arillas Today welcomed the Mistraio - strong winds from the North which saw all of the sea-front businesses lowering the shutters, but many fewer braving the beach and the sea. The shape of the beach will be different tomorrow, but as usual it is temporary. No big storms. Nothing to worry about

The other aspect was the readying of many folk to depart, including our HelsBels and diverse family. Their "last supper" at Graziella organised during an impromptu session with several of us during an impromptu  booze-up at Bardis Sun. Many lovely moments on offer as usual. You just have to GRAB them.

Grabbing all I can....

I missed the update from justphil yesterday, though I still have 18 days to go his 'diary' and comments re Bardis sun mean I am half way there already in my head. Apparently I have 1779 miles to travel made harder by the 18 day gap. I shouldn't read posts here really, however, how else do you get your fix if you're not physically there. Looking forward to the hospitality at Bardis Sun more than ever this year, though circumstances are very different from previous years.

Today is the start of another Arillas Today.
If today is as good as Arillas Yesterday,
Then Arillas Today will take some beating when Arillas Today becomes Arillas Tomorrow,

Had a quiet Sunday with a 7-30am stroll on the beach that I had all to myself. Stroll around the village booked a table for dinner and a call into the Tria to say hello to Philip, Helen and all
Afternoon around the pool followed by some Rainbow Bingo fun
Vivalis gave us a fabulous feast last night and drinks at the Akti before we headed back to base rounded off a wonderful day
Arillas Today...so looking forward to it
WISH YOU WERE HERE

For my one or two readers I can promise a fabulous Arillas Today.

The weather is cloudy, hot, windy and just about perfect. Several windsurfers observed - maybe our Dimitris? Skin treatments being applied in buckets as the UV becomes yet another fashion. The real truth of Arillas Today was business as usual. Whatever you expected before Brexit, our "second home" will continue  whatever the politicians do, say or think. It is now invincible.

Well I have finally torn myself away from complete and utter relaxation to tell you about my Arillas today. Just starting our second full day of complete and utter bliss. We arrived Monday eve after a delay-free great flight
and managed to squeeze in a long-awaited PiƱa Colade excellently mixed by Perry at the Coconut. Lots of hugs and kisses all round both there and next door at Yoitas. The lads are (so far) actually managing to co-exist without the usual violence. Both Lewis and Harry seem fine which I knew they would once getting here. Max was excited as me to be making our way to Brouklis last night for the long-awaited lamb chops. Divine comes nowhere near! Our first trip to the north beach was enjoyed this morning. It was the usual spiritual delight for me and has started the day beautifully. The sea was like Andy Murrays Ice bath thanks to the lovely breeze the last couple of days but today is just about what could be described as refreshing! This place gets better and better. I am in heaven but you already knew that xx

It started a bit grey, with clouds, a cool breeze and actually a glorious respite for the cooked bodies who have been here a while. This afternoon the whole thing hotted up again and a few tiny clouds remain. Many are complaining it is too hot, but it is the high humidity not the temperature, which is 35C in the shade right now at 4pm.

The exchange rate is reported as about 1.17. Not so good / not so bad.....

JohnTheRef and Dot, Phil and Jen spent a lazy session at Poppy's bar and tried to say goodbye, but somehow the words didn't come. We settled for "see you soon...." It is our last Arillas Today for a while - the autumn will be focused on Jen's hip operations, so yet again it will be (most of) a year till we get back to our other home.

It has been the typical, fabulous stay and our 6th at Bardis Studios. The wheelchair transformed Jen's holiday, and our one and only regret is that we didn't hire it on day 1.

Adrienne n Dave, I'm truly sorry I'm not still there. Or selfishly sad rather than sorry...... The next months will be dominated by Jen's hip operations, but I promise to post Arillas Today next year when we are back in a new situation. It may be a much more interesting report than this year as I chase around after this newly mobile Arilliac............

Arillas is still here , today , and seems to be hotter than ever.

We start, at 7 a.m., with an outside temp of 24deg. I am sure that rise.

And why am I here at 7 a.m.?? - Well , Wegg is off to the airport this morning , for an early flight to the UK.
( 3 weeks away from August hustle/heat and spending prime catchup time with family and "long lost" pals )

Cheers
Negg

Saw us arrive at Bardis Sun.......
Fantastic welcome from Dorita.
Similar welcome from Bobby next door at Bardis Sun too. All you people weren't exagerating about the hospitality there, Poppy was great and so was the Mythos! It was a pleasure to meet Nick and his son off the forum.
I warned them you were coming back to haunt them Ref ! Lol
Finished off with a 1am Gyros from Bouyota with my daughter..... bad Dad I know, far too late for an 11 year old!
Today Arillas is ours...... as selfish as it may seem.
