Kes, I love snails, with as much garlic as I like on my prawns. Only ever eaten them in France, so it was a long time ago. I would go to that taverna if I could drive, but even Theo won't rent me a car (knowing about my inebriate ways) so no chance!! Eggy dear, take more water with it...... g'night.

Arillas Today continues to be snail free.

The nearest I can get is the "Shell Shocked" faces of many favourite people who are going home tomorrow.
Sad farewells to Riggs n Sue n Viv n Pete and many others "avrio".

It's a dramatic Arillas today and many of us few remaining "luckies" stood and watched the beach being eaten by waves that haven't appeared much, since May. - This beach also bounces back though - DONCHYERKNOW!

Temps hover around 20 deg and, to me . it seems warmer outside than in.

The heavy rains forecast have, right now, fizzled out and even with the recent overnight "interuption" only produced 2mm of rain in the morning.
WOTSTHATALLABOUT?
Good fun is still here to be has. (Or GOOG fun for Phil n Jen)
NO VOGA FRAGEES LEFT THOUGH PHIL!

Some places have closed now but still many more to choose from.
Get a late flight peeps and join in! - Yer know yer "welcome" will never change.

I must take the camera with me tomorrow!-Memory of a snail, springs to mind.
Cheers

No "VOGA FRAGEES?" Dis-ASS-ter!!!!!!! Maybe we will be all alone then. Dimitri didn't tell me that was what he meant....

But I bet we get round that one - PhilnJen are quite resourceful when it comes to our vodka frappes....

The w e b c a m showed just a few clouds but bright, sunny Arillas for the hour I watched earlier. And a few peops wandering aimlessly about - then dozens on the jetty. Arillas today looks far too quiet, but as lovely as ever.

I noticed a very good deal to Kaloudis for the last week with Thomsons earlier. Like Eggy says, come and join in the truly quiet end of season game. Ang said the truth .. many would pay £1,000's of pounds for it. Needless to say, Jen and me paid a shed-load less than that.

Just BRING IT ON!!!!!

Phil I would love to be there with you both - was seriously considering the option as its our 27th on the 20th - but no can do Chris is waiting for a few hosp scans etc - we must have a few schedules arranged where we can all see you from the jetty waving would certainly bring a smile to my face and we can raise a cyber glass or three and toast Arillas together - or rather toast to your private paradise with staff attending your every need - some pay £1000's for that ;-)

Sitting on our cases waiting for the off.  We are on our way out there first thing Monday (tomorrow).  Staying at Kaloudis.  Arillas virgins, so it is going to be a whole new experience, and we cannot wait!!!!! Is it time yet? Is it? is it?

Cornerhouse, you will have a lovely time, quieter than the usual Arillas, but very, very enjoyable.
Safe journey.

Wishing you a safe non delayed trip over. At this time of year you take what food any Tavernas have on offer - But the friendship is free and genuine.
(And the food is still good!)

You will find that more people have more time to spend with you.

I'm told the weather is set to improve tomorrow as well.

Cheers

October is peaceful and quiet in Arillas. You won't do the parties, but anyone you meet will welcome you. If you open your heart you will be rewarded three-fold. The gorgeous coastline, the beach will entice you. The beach is like a woman -when she is in the mood, and the wind points in the right direction she will blow your mind. She will make Mick Jagger look like a novice.

Believe our Eggy - he has lived there these last few years.

We take lots of i-player and music CD's and all sorts of stuff with us to combat boredom. But we find it very hard to be bored in Arillas. We have never used them in the many times we have done the last week.

Just enjoy.

Tunes already loaded to the iPad and pod, a couple of books ready to go, and himself has packed the Scrabble.  To be honest, it is the peace and quiet we are looking for after a mad year at work.  Bring it on! :-)

JohnTheRef&Dot

Cornerhouse, we may well have been with you but Dot has brought herself a car (sick of waiting for the bus to come) so our week off work will be spent at home.

Arillas will give you Peace, Quiet and a Welcome that will bring you back time and time again.

Just take it as it comes, Arillas Today, Tomorow and each day never dissapoints, have a fantastic time

Val n Bill

John and Dot enjoy the rest, you both deserve it........ and Dot I am sure you will find the car a god send, Arillas will be waiting for you in July.

Keep well both of you,   Val x

Our friend John has it .....
QuoteArillas Today, Tomorrow and each day never disappoints

At the end of season it is almost silent. Quiet? Oh yes. But swim in the sea (naked at either far end)  and just smile. You will be welcomed by our Greek hosts wherever you are. Jut clock the cliffs and the coastline and Gravia. The big rock Gravia sits and talks if you let her....
