Trying to work painting window frames around sorting out electrical extras meant that I never got to the real Arillas Today
( Meaning Sea Front and goings on around)

I digress - Hence no pics either, although this time the camera was in the car.

Arillas today means different things for different people. Have pity on the electrician I met at 3:15pm. Had to be at Corfu Airport for 4:30 to pick up his family from Athens. In this heat - 36 deg plus and driving to Corfu Town?
My t-shirt was soggy just from Kavadaddes to Armourada!.
I will never understand how waiters and Taverna owners can still smile in this weather. Takes practice I 'spose. Being genuine good people also helps.
Don't they all do well? - I couldn't handle it.

Bottom line? - It's a super July Summer here and will do all guests proud.

Nan, and Eileeen here today.  Maybe I need a jaw massage to limber it up and be ready for them.

Arillas siga's siga's tonite with a more respectable 28deg at 10 ish. All I seem to do, at the mo, is talk temps. Boring but may help to make y'all sleep.
Can we sleep in this temp? - See, here we go again. - No more about degrees!!

99% of Arillas guests love this weather and why not?. There are many suntans being perfected much faster than a speeding bullet. (Who did shoot JR?)

In case I forget, Gary is aware of what needs to be done to the bench and will organise a superior woodstain as part of the end of season maintenance.
We can trust him to do a good job at a reasonable price.

Eggy arrived 7.30am after doing the round trip though Sidari ugh, hate it when they take you that way, thumbs down for Thomas Cook.

We will just spend the day chilling by the pool, if you're passing just pop in and shout 'bacon'! if we're not asleep on a sun bed you can have a bacon buttie for supper.....
If your busy today tell me where and when and we will try to deliver, I was going to say at your convenience but I'm sure you don't want in there. ha ha

You lucky bunch, howling down here back in Blighty, in for the weekend by the looks of it.
Looks like its the chair and nibbles couple of beers and the golf on telly by the look of it,,,,,,,,,,,,,, would swop for 35 deg in Arillas and a 'meze' anyday! Enjoy.

P.S. Maizetina..... The bus is horrible,,, I would get a cab all day long, nice and direct..... booking form on here, 55 euros each way but you could post a taxi share.....hope this helps.

Ang, twenty to midnight on the kavos special, in the whole plane only about twenty people were over 19, but when valnbill booked in the girl said she was  doing the boarding and she  would look after us , we were taken in to the inner sanctum and the doors closed you could see everyone looking and thinking 'who are they' we boarded as soon as the plane was ready we felt like celebs! ten minuets later the rabble got on the plane. Give them their due everbody was well behaved.
Not bad...
It was a good deal from T/Cook two weeks for less than we payed for one when we went 6 weeks ago. Just the transfer was rubbish, coach load of people bused around Sidari and 4 of us for Arillas.
took nearly 2 hours.
BUT Arillas today is beautiful, hot and sunny, and we are having a lazy first day.

Mid-high thirties, tad of a breeze, many people in the sea, plenty of beach, but above all it is full of lovely people. I guess I'd better get on the next plane then.....

Anyway, found this little happy quartet in Thalassa.
(I had forgotten how nice this place is and to see happy faces , enjoying, reminded me)


Please note that I had cleaned out Punto prior to picking them up for the Owl.

Noticed that Arillas Boat Hire are putting in safety posts for guests now.
(Maybe because it's always me that trips over the decking.)


So, eventually on the way to the Owl. Who is there to welcome us?

He just wants to beat me at darts! - I can see it in his eyes!

Phil tried his hand at a dart in the direction at the board.

I told Ref John not to do two things.
A.- Mark the board and B. - don't yawn when he's throwing.

After this, relaxing was the only way to go.(I think they were still speaking)


Then it was back to Bardis for Phil n Jen to chill and then to Rainbow for John n Dot to do the same.
For me it was a trip to Makris to meet a lovely couple called Val N Bill and have yet another good ole natter. Eggy is a happy bunny? DONCHYERKNOW?

A super afternoon with good people. This is Arillas Today and I know it will be Arillas tomorrow. I promised not to keep doing temps so I will not tell you that it's 35deg at 7 ish... and... still 28 deg in the house. Aaarrgh.
