Absolutely....sorry Maggie if you thought our remarks were negative or some sign that we wouldn't be back. It was just our concern for the place and the poeple we all love.

Maggie - thanks for the photos - but having found paradise a few years ago it would take a lot more than a crumbling road to prevent us returning. Please continue to let us know how things are progressing as it still looks a lot more inviting than the snowy, icy landscape that we are enjoying? in the UK at the moment.

Hi Maggie and everyone else in Arillas,
Hope you will get things fixed, but if you don't, we will still be back!!!
I for one will return on June 11th.
Love to all of you.

Thanks for sharing the photos Maggie. It's interesting to see what Arillas is like out of season as we often think about it and wish we were there. A bit of storm damage certainly won't put us off that wonderful place with its lovely people - we will be returning to Arillas on 5th July and can't wait. This year my dad is joining us for a week - introducing him to the delights of Arillas!

Yesterday there was an official looking van parked on the front, with a couple of chaps inspecting the damage. I can't be certain who they were but it looks like the authorities may be already on the case.

OMG, Maggie - just seen the photos! The first couple showing the road looked really bad, then as we moved onto the others showing the beach and road we thought "we could be there now, never mind the mess!" and the sky still looks wonderful.
Yes, all our friends in Arillas have their work cut out getting it all ready for us addicts, but NO WAY will any of us not return...!
We really appreciate everything that the people of Arillas do to make our holidays there a wonderful experience
Please keep the photos coming!

Thanks very much Maggie and BBB as locals for keeping us poor folk in the UK up to date with our favourite holiday haven.  How very different is life lived in 'foreign parts' to the picture you get as an occasional visitor.
I've learned so much about Corfu from this forum, (especially from Eggy's reports), but still think there's much more to learn.
The severity of the weather, the huge amount of rain and its effect on the land, and the difficulty of maintaining public utilities in those circumstances come to mind.  We understand because of rare power cuts here how inconvenient they are.  In Lincolnshire we have miles of vulnerable overhead power lines to all the villages but I think we suffer much less than in Corfu.
Please keep us in the picture with regard to doings in North West Corfu.
Best wishes
Pat
