I had to go to Inas Supermarket, about 12:30, and not a space to be found.

Moving very slowly to 36 deg at 3:30 pm

Think I won't budge fron home now. I'll just tire myself out watching Olympic Athletics.

Arillas Today. - And it's Sunday again already !
( I don't have to tell Sue n Ian that though - Bet their time here has flown by! )
I see she's still logged in so must be on that sunbed at Annas !

Anyway, after a heaving Bank Holiday Friday here, followed by a slightly heaving Saturday, we have fairly heaving Sunday.

That ole wind's come up a bit today & the temp is down to a "respectable" 28/29 deg.
( That was at 4 pm ish )

It's not a sandblasting wind, and many beach brollies were open. But just enough heavy breeze to put an extra bit o life in the sea.

Still a few quiet spots though!

The quietest spots being Graziella/Sea Breeze end.

I was tempted to take a pic of Arillas Bay swimming pool but felt a bit like snooping as many people were around the pool enjoying life. Those sea front balconies at Sea Breeze and Graziella were doing a nice trade as well !
Anyway, to get a decent pic I may have been spotted as "peering through the bushes"
( No plastic mac available so no pictures! )

All in All, August is still buzzing away in Arillas with, in my opinion, many, many more Italians and Greeks. Everyone here to chill out and chill out they will!

Cheers

Thanks Eggy, I have picked my spot on the beach and I am just sat here dreaming of walking into that sea.  Only 3 weeks tomorrow.  Can't wait!  Great report, great pics.  W. x

I reckon you'll catch Arillas still unwinding, but still smiling, after a hectic August.

Could be a very good time to be here.

A lovely Arillas Today post Eggy. We just love reading them.

Apparently it's Sunday - I lose track at this time of year. But then an old soak like me could be forgiven? Senior, not senile.....

It means our Sandy is on her way home. Look after her till we get there. We'll take over then. Rainbow here we come!

lol

It will be very good indeed if we can all get together.
( Do I have to apologise for any Forum postings?)

And.... will you be bringing your Union Jack shorts?

Negg

justphil

I don't wear any shorts or anything else on North end of beach. I don't have any Union Jack clothes at all. Is there something wrong with me? Don't answer that forum..........

Love Is never having to apologise Eggy.

Would be really special if you could join Sandy, justphil and justjen in our teetotallers afternoon at the Rainbow. Jimmy would be ovwewhelmed!

See you soon

Hi all new to this site, spent couple odf days on the beach in Arillas in June  luv'd it so booked week in early October what's the weather like ? anybody holiday at that time !!! and hope its still swimming weather ....

I saw a recent posting from ASH about tatoos earlier which prompts me to ask:-
" If you don't wear Union Jack shorts at the north end of the beach, have you got tatooed union jack buttocks! - Perish the thought!

A teetotallers afternoon at Rainbow is an interesting thought and if it frightens me I don't know what it would do to Jimmy and Spiros.
( Always open to new ideas though! )

Early October touch n go. - Difficult to say.
Last year it was pretty good and although Arillas was winding down there was still plenty to do.

I still remember a few bodies in the water and, as Wegg says:-
" If it's a twinge cooler before you get in then it don't feel to cold for a plunge"
( Or something like that ! )

Not long for you two now then? Not a lot has changed here except Wegg and I will both be a year older but probably no wiser --- and my hair hasn't grown back yet!
Stu - Yer don't play darts I spose?

Cheers All from a 23deg North Corfu at 11:40 pm. ( And an empty wine glass )

A sort of Arillas today

Just thought you would like to see the new addition to our family.

4 weeks ago she was a painfully thin kitten and befreinded by two little girls, on holiday at Eileens Villa. They fed it every day and were the starting point of earning it's trust.

We managed to catch her 2 weeks ago and bring her to Kavvadades. We kept her in a secure area for 3 days to acclimatise and gave her a lot of fuss and food.
Now she is just as independant as ever, stays out overnight, vanishes during the day but, but she does make a fuss of us , occassionally!

The photo looks a little strange but was taken , from above, looking down.
She's not really "hovering!"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11:30 am here with a "low" temp of 24 deg and a slight breeze. I think those high 30's will vanish for a while. - We'll see.

Cheers

Hope the 30's might show occasionally in September Eggy.

Glad to see your new addition has a good home now.  Does it have a name yet?

If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

lynwill53

She's totally gorgeous, but how long til she brings you kitten-shaped presents? Can you get her spayed out there?
