Only once have the dancers tried to get me and Mike to dance on a table and we politely declined then and will always say no..... you cant find a table big enough or strong enough..  LOL.!  At the Horizon I was so glad  they didn't ask me(as if they would have) I like to dance but not that much! ... the guy was a pretty big guy, well he had huge thighs anyway and there just wouldn't have been room for me as well... the girl that was there was embarrassingly close though, thought she was a lap dancer!  I don't think it is very Greek dance though.  We always laugh at our videos of Mike dancing with a glass on his head, you can hear us in the background shrieking with laughter.

Super Photo.
First time we came to Greece, Zakynthos, we had a mantis by our studios.
It was the first I had ever seen.
I spent 6 months in Spain as a student and never saw one.
My picture was not a patch on this.

Is that the Praying mantis that sat above your bed every night  Sue after being removed from next door. Praying mantis you have been evicted!!!!

R for Railings on the top floor of the Castelino Restaurant near Lakones with its wonderful views over Paleokastritsa.

Eggy, take on note how they have been painted

This one was knocking at Lyndas door as was the 'orrible green frog.

Her camera is brilliant, she took some great shots, mostly of animals I might add- hence her nickname of Mrs Dolittle

This one is SUNDOWN at Arillas (June 2007).

That is a really good sunset photo.  Love it as it is very clear.

Dear Blondegirl
Thanks for the feedback.  Its very pleasing to get an opinion posted, especially when its a kind one.
Must say that sunset watching in Arillas is what most of us love, except that when I met Dimitris at the Brouklis, he said his father never went down to watch the sunset.
Ah well - it takes all sorts.

Best wishes

If that was me,Patrick, I would frame that and put it on my wall.  Beautiful.

Has anyone noticed that Dimitris has put all the old photo's on display? (photo gallery)Fantastic.

TerryW

Thanks for pointing that out Jo, I love old photos like that.

Dimitris,

Ebay is a good source for old postcards. Yesterday I did an Ebay search for "Postcards Corfu" and found some. If a search is done on a regular basis, I am sure some of Arillas will turn up.

Here is one from yesterday

Eileen

Hi Terry,

Collecting Corfu postcards is a little hobby of mine.

I have a fairly large collection of postcards which I've collected over the last 3 years.  I've still to find an Arillas card in all my cyber searches, but I keep trying.  I am on the mailing list of an auction house in Athens and still no luck there either.

It's amazing where the postcards turn up.  I've bought them from people in Israel, Italy, USA, Canada and Spain to name a few.

Would you believe the most expensive postcards are not of places but people, especially in national dress...needless to say my collection is mostly made up of Corfu town and villages, including the one you have uploaded.

I've not added to my collection for a few months, I must get things moving again when I come back from Corfu.
