Thats a lovely hobby Eileen. I just like old photographs anyway. Maybe we should start a new topic for Old photos.

Here is a site with lots of old photos of Corfu. It makes me wish I could read Greek.

Yes - what an interesting hobby, and its great when there is a theme to it, perhaps an old Arillas card will turn up soon.

Since this is the A to Z theme thought I'd progress to T with TABLE for TWO taken in Arillas 2007.  Can't remember the name of the taverna, but its the one just up a little way north of the Horizon towards the main street.

It was a good meal (aren't they all in Arillas) - Stiffado for me and Mousaka for my better half (who kindly took the photo).

Best wishes
PJ

We collect really nice postcards of the islands etc.. and made a couple of large collages of them and they are on our kitchen wall. They are always constant reminders of where we have been - one is of different local people and the other is of different buildings/homes/architecture etc.  I want to do another one just of sea/boats/beach scenes.  They are a talking point when people visit as they try and pick out the places they have been too, also a few of our own photos are in there which are nice.  You could do a collage of the different sunsets in Arillas.

These are the only pictures I haven't packed yet for our impending/canceled move and I am so glad about that so I can have something nice to look at.
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Hi Negg
Have just had a look at Dimitris's Tourist Map and we were at Kosta's on the Beach.  Could tackle a stiffado right now but must wait until we get to Tingaki in Kos next week.
Thanks for the comment,
All the best

Hi Jo
As an Arillas Regular Visitor I guess you just know these things.
I remember that while we were eating at Kosta's the little group with the accordian player came round and we thought it was great.  That was the first we'd seen of them, but then we discovered they were around most nights.
Best wishes

If  we're still on "K"
"K" is for koncrete. - Well nearly because there is no Greek letter "C"

This is what is going on as I type. The crane lorry, which is linked to the concreting lorry, had to go over the house to reach, what will be the patio area, on the other side. He then needs to move the pipe to the front of the house to create the pathway. All done by his remote control, strapped to his waist. Hope he avoids the TV Aerial and Sat Dish we had put up yesterday.!!!!
I tried to get a photo of our Agent but he was moving too fast and shouting at anyone around him . He's currently washng off the cement that splashed all up the side wall.
( Under pressure or what ! )
I'm hiding indoors - Last thing they want is a spectator.

Thats exactly what i thought haha!!

I also guessed it was Kostas on the Beach straight away cos thats the table we sat at in May, i could tell by the wall and the flowers, funny isnt it what makes you remember a certain place!

Indeed! Will there be a housewarming party? Mrs Egg would be most pleased if the forum descended upon your new house and partied :)
Life is good ;)

Shuey
We quite often get a crane in to move the house if the sun is in the wrong place.

Terry
I thought we were stlll on "K"
Housewarming party?? - We may have this in December/January because if I can warm the house without the expenditure of oil fired heating costs then Hurrah!!

EEG
If the forum descended our house Mrs Egg would be pleased to welcome you all, panic about what food to offer, and then divorce me when you all left!!!

Smiffy
So you thought they were trying to move the house as well? - You certainly "know your Onions" - But then you should because you've just come back from Spain.
