The link was working properly earlier on this morning when it was posted on the Agni Forum.  If I remember correctly hand-baggage allowance has been increased to 10kg, but a levy of £6 will be charged for each item of 'hold' luggage which will have the weight allowance increased to 25kgs.

As I have said I'm not too sure about all the details, but another member who had read all the conditions thinks that the new rules are for budget flights only not for flight only charters or package deals.  LOL maybe that was a mistake and Thomsonfly have suspended the page in order to rectify it!!

I've just booked a flight only with Thomsonfly for September. The new baggage charges did apply.

Oh dear BBB looks like your other half will have to cut back on HIS baggage allowance ;-)

So what degree do you need to work that one out then?
Looks to me it could be yet another way to squeeze a little more cash out of the holday maker.
If I read it correctly, whether I have 20 or 25kg in the suitcase it will cost me money.
So, if that's the case, then why not make up to 25kilos with cigarettes.
Ah! I forgot. We're not allowed to sell them on. - But if you did, a pound a pack profit would certainly ease the pain. ( How many packs of 200 Ciggies to a kilo I wonder?)
What a shame we're all honest people on the Forum!!
I'm interested to see the final outcome of this post.

I have just booked flights with Thomsonfly - only flights, no accommodation - and can explain the baggage situation.
If you want to check in any baggage, you can buy 1 item, up to 20kgs, for £5 each way.  This will also allow you hand luggage of 5kg giving you a total of 25kg for no extra cost.  Therefore, if your check-in baggage is only 15kg, you can take 10kg on board with you, but no more.
To add 5kg to your check in baggage (25kg plus 5kg hand baggage), the price goes up to £34.50, ie 5kg costs you £24.50 on a return flight.  Daylight robbery!!
Hope you can make sense of my explanation.  I think if you are travelling on a package holiday, your baggage allowance will be given on the ticket and is included in the price.
