My mum phoned this morning whilst walking the dogs and said the beach was looking lovely and unspoilt so I wouldn't worry :)

Arillas doesn't seem to get much seaweed at all, whereas go over the hill to San Stefanos and there is absolutely loads of seaweed.  They do move it though because as you go over the hill to San Stefanos that is where they tend to leave it to dry out.

I dont like the seaweed either.  When there's a storm it seems to get washed up on the beach.  In Agios gordios a couple of years ago the beach was a right mess.  Its not like the seaweed in the UK though.  It goes all dry and stringy.  I am a bit like Smiffy, dont like it wrapping itself around my toes...and you come out having to pick it off your body like a monster from the lagoon!
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Hi all
there was a lot of seaweed last may 2006 beginning of the season but there was a j.c.b or something like it it was clearing the seaweed off the beach and putting the seaweed on a trailer and taking it away thay did a very good job the beach is allways clean

I have to admit that I don't like seaweed at all, to the point that I'd rather not go in the sea, but use the pool instead. I think it's 'cause I worry it might be a jelly fish or something!
