Just wondering hows the seaweed on he beach?
Looking at todays picture can`t tell if its seaweed or just wet sand!

Joe

My mum phoned this morning whilst walking the dogs and said the beach was looking lovely and unspoilt so I wouldn't worry :)

Thats good to here..cheers

Arillas doesn't seem to get much seaweed at all, whereas go over the hill to San Stefanos and there is absolutely loads of seaweed.  They do move it though because as you go over the hill to San Stefanos that is where they tend to leave it to dry out.

Hmmm... on occasions especialy after stormy weather  the beach in fornt of the Horizon can get quite a build up

Im glad it doesnt have much seaweed, i hate it when im swimming in the sea and a bit floats onto my toes and i start screaming cos i think its something trying to eat me haha!!

Mango

Hi Smiffy
That's probably your "little pink fish!"

Smiffypink

I dont like the seaweed either.  When there's a storm it seems to get washed up on the beach.  In Agios gordios a couple of years ago the beach was a right mess.  Its not like the seaweed in the UK though.  It goes all dry and stringy.  I am a bit like Smiffy, dont like it wrapping itself around my toes...and you come out having to pick it off your body like a monster from the lagoon!
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Smiffypink

Haha thats so true bg, not very attractive ay!!

I think ill leave her there Mango, she needs the rest, i'll pick a new animal for the countdown to Mexico in September!

Hi all
there was a lot of seaweed last may 2006 beginning of the season but there was a j.c.b or something like it it was clearing the seaweed off the beach and putting the seaweed on a trailer and taking it away thay did a very good job the beach is allways clean

I have to admit that I don't like seaweed at all, to the point that I'd rather not go in the sea, but use the pool instead. I think it's 'cause I worry it might be a jelly fish or something!

vivian

You must have been there the same time as us, we were at the far end of the beach (lovely and clear)thinking whats happerning down there and why ? Viv
