 H iSue.
My hubby  works in airport security and at the moment no lotions, liquids, gels, pastes or creams are allowed.
Some airports are not allowing lipsticks but Newcastle will( thank goodness as I am naked without mine!!!!)
You would have to check with your airport though.

                                 Hope this helps. Pauline

Ps also the size of cabin baggage is resticted

Hi. I`ve always found it best to check with the relevant airport etc. You can get the up to the minute details, that applies to you. Happy hols.

Hi Viv

Yes the restrictions have been relaxed as from today. The new measurements for cabin baggage are 56 x 45 x 25 cms.

 Hope this helps  Pauline

Hi all. Had an email from easyjet earlier, saying their measurements were 55x40x20. Hope this is of some help, but other airlines will probably vary. Best check the relevant one. Happy hols. Lindypops.

Very strict at Birmingham on way out (18th Sept 2006) but no bother on way back! People carrying onto plane half drunk bottles of coke / water etc bought outside of airport etc etc. No problem with lighters on way back either; big con on way out confiscating lighters and then having to buy one in duty free. Who do you believe?????

When we flew out of Gatwick last week it was very strict, no liquids, pastes, make-up or lighters, shoes and belts off and they went through the scanning machine too, then coming home at Alicante airport no restrictions seemed to be in place, shoes stayed on, lighters were in bags, drinks etc, so it looks like its only the main big airports here and probably in America etc that are sticking to the strict guidelines, thats how it seemed to me anyway....
