The end of mini toiletries?
« on: November 25, 2022, 10:55:17 AM »
Hi
By mid 2024 it is expected air passengers will be allowed to keep any size  liquid containers  in their hand luggage instead of putting them in a small plastic bag for security checks in 100ml bottles

3D baggage scanners will be rolled out across UK airports. Lap tops and other electronic devices will also be allowed to remain in your hand luggage.

At least we will not be delayed as pasengers who since 2006 still cannot understand the curent rules.

Mm try telling that to the loved ones of flight Pan Am 103 !!! We still need to keep vigilant as the bad people will find away to harm all of us so don’t take away any vigilance just for 20 mins extra in the bar !!!
Love n peace

Hi

Checks will still be made on liquids etc, so flight safety is not at risk.
The new system will be more efficient

Hi
Shannon airport has already adopted the new technology.
Through times have improved by up to 50%.

Gatwick and Heathrow are testing at present

By the time we can have extra liquids we will still be trying to reduce the quantity due to the cost of carry on and hold luggage.
