Some friends of mine have just got back from their first week in Arillas. One of their favourite eating places was the Mirage. I must confess I have never eaten there but they said the food was fantastic. They got a 3 course meal with a carafe of wine for 9 euros each so they went a couple of times and highly recommend it. Pat says the coffee is the best in the village. So I'm surprised it has never got a mention on the Forum?

And as well as that.....two new Arillas addicts.

Sandy luvver, Jen and me often spend glorious afternoons at Mirage. I am known to the kids as Mister Phil. The honest welcome we get every time we arrive is incredible. "Mr Phil is back in town!"  I drink the beer and Jen swims in the pool.

Angela is a gorgeous host, and I can always melt our Nikos. He once said to me "I don't care if you drink one beer, or order lobster, as long as you come back is what matters."

And we go back every time we are in Arillas. Like I have said before, we have never done many of the places that are on offer. Time is so short, and we have so much left to do. Mirage for our main meal is now on the list. At this rate we might manage it in 2013?

Who said Arillas is a tiny village? Er, it might have been me......

We always eat at the Mirage too, I can vouch for their food being scrummy!  Agree with everything Phil has said about Angela and Nikos, they are great fun, and always welcome us (sometimes with open arms!)  Gorgeous pool, lovely family and great food, what more could you want?

Just thought I'd clarify - when I said we always eat at the Mirage, I didn't mean we don't eat at lots of other places too!

But in a fortnight, we would normally have 2, 3 or 4 lunches there and one evening meal. (Would be more evening meals if there weren't so many other gorgeous tavernas, like Brouklis, Thalassa, Potofino, etc.)

And like Phil and Jen, beers and swims at the Mirage in the afternoon are a must! Angela  even waits on us at the sunbeds!  Bliss....

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww you guys are making my mouth water!!!

ive too eaten at quite a few of the tavernas in arillas but i have to say never in the mirage....is it because i just haven't come across it and have been walking round with my eyes closed?

there is one that i know for a fact i have not tried yet and im now not sure of the name.... if you were coming out of kaloudis village complex its the first taverna you come to  up lots of steps....if anyone can give me any feed back on that one please i would appreciate it.

but i will certainly look for the mirage and give it a go as food and wine is two of my favourite things....x

That is Eftihia...small but excellent. There is a thread on the forum about it. Well worth a try....

I have this pic as my desktop.

From the bar or the sunbeds nearby, you can imagine you are basically part of the sea. Another wonderful experience waiting for you in Arillas. And it comes with good draught Mythos and friendliness. Bliss!

During my past two visits to Arillas (in June and September) I've been staying
at Ina's Apartments next to the Mirage.

Every morning, while I was sitting on my balcony, Angela came out to water
the garden and she always waved and shouted: Good morning Connie!

I've only had lunch there once, but her charming personality cheered me up
every single day during my stay there.
