Profile Pic Change?

Help!!    Trying to change my profile pic without much success. Where am I going wrong?
Highlighted `upload my own pic`- selected a photo file and opened it and clicked on change profile. This is what I did for the original pic, but now it doesn`t work. Have I missed something out?
Any advice gratefully received,  Yammas   Paul

I had a similar problem with mine....sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't! Not much help I'm afraid.....but eventually I succeeded....

Hi Paul. Could it be your picture needs resizing? Otherwise you seem to have done all the right things.

Thanks everyone!  File size was too big. The pic you see was taken on my cameras smallest file size.  All my latest pics are larger.
