New Brewery

Hi All

Coming back to San Stefanos after a great visit two years ago. We arrive on Friday and will spend some time in Arillas. Interested to note that there is a new mcirobrewey in Arillas. Is it all up and running and can you visit? Who stocks their product locally?

Also how is the cliff path to San Stefanos? We didn't try this two years ago, walking over by the road or coming by car but would like to try it this year.

I am a traitor Gordonc - I still adore Mythos. The local microbrewery created Royal Ionian - which most of this forum's members drink out of choice. A bit too sweet for me - I like beer that kicks you up the a**e and gets you p***ed quickly. Mythos does it for me...

You can buy bottles of it for silly money in all the supermarkets (compare the supermeerkats.com) and in most of the tavernas. But mine's one of Hannah's vodka frappe...

Get em on to cool luvver - will be there 7th July!

With Phil on that 1 i still prefer Mythos to Royal Ionion although i did down a good few bottles of it in Helens creperrie

The brewery is up by the BP garage just past the turning for San Stefanos. You can see the vats through the windows. I think there is talk of visits there.....not sure about free samples though...lol!

However for Gordonc's benefit here is a picture to prove the existence of lovely Royal Ionian - ie. me drinking a pint of the stuff at the Splish Splash last year.

Free samples? Waste of time. Put erja under the firast tank, riggers next, pj next and justphil? Well, it's my round. I'll just drink all the rest. Sadly I'd be the only sober one left after they had finished.... there wouldn't be any more!

Thanks for your comments folks. I'm also a confirmed Mythos fan but feel I'll need to try the Royal Ionian a few times. Simply in the interests of research of course!
