We get emailed every time a new issue is published. A great read. Very interesting editorial this time, showing how accommodation owners and tourists alike are getting cheated by online booking services (and some Tour Operators?)

Another piece of evidence in the package / independent debate. Wonder how many of our hosts are getting stuffed by these people? I know of one...

Hi Phil!
Just spent a very interesting hour looking on the Corfu Mag website. Lot of interesting articles and facts. I see Arillas beach gets a good writeup! Lots to do and see inland and around the island. I can vouch for some of the comments made about booking via agents, as I have experienced the 'no vacancies 'syndrome. When you go direct, there are loads of vacancies available! These companies tend to 'target' single travelers like myself, if you are a couple, there isn't usually a problem. Also the attempt to 'lure' holidaymakers to more 'exotic' destinations which are more profitable for the agents!  Some interesting points on the Corfiot economy and the new hospital progress.
