I keep meaning to ask those of you who have recently returned from Arillas - are the water sports there this year? It wasn't open when we were there in May and I thought I read somewhere on the forum that the guy in charge had moved on elsewhere. I am desperate for my annual fix of paragliding....

Haven't seen anybody paragliding this year. I think "Pedro" looks aftr things there now and I don't think he advertises that any more. - Maybe wrong.

That's a real shame - floating across Arillas Bay was always a highlight of the holiday for me. Another little job for you Eggy if the boredom sets in or you tire of ouzo??

Bring a large kite with you Sandy and I'll tie you to the back of the Peugeot. I'll just have to practice weaving in and out of the sundbeds.

Sounds good to me Eggy. We'll have to work on this one. I'd have to remove the crocs first - couldn't risk losing one (or both).
But what if you sustained another slow puncture while I was airborne? Perhaps I should stick to Eileen's suggestion of a donkey...

sandy the watersports was very ltd this year ,all i saw in july.was pedelos and canoes. if you want any hairy , ithink youll have to do sidari.....

Marika

Hi!
Yes it is right, you have in Arillas this year only the pedelos and canoes!
But I think it is nice too, to do that. I like to try the canoes in September!
But why so far to sidari! If you want to do paragliding or something else (donuts, waterski...)You can go to the beaches from San Stefanos and San George.

Hi Sandy.
Do you really mean 'Paragliding' or 'Parascending'?

We were in Turkey a few years ago and went to Olu Deniz, they were both on offer.

Paragliding required a drive to a high hill, before jumping off and gliding down to the sandy beach.

Parascending, consisted of starting out strapped to a boat, then being released to ascend above the sea. My daughter did that once, but lost her tie bikini bottom half way through whilst at 50 metres above the sea. Cheeky or what?  ;-)

Oh dear!! how embarrassing!  That made me laugh tho.
