HI

This time of year the EURO is up. Summer when every one is on holiday drops down

Truth

The forecast is for the rate to continue to rise throughout 2025 . Obviously nothings guaranteed but that seems to be the over riding opinion of the experts .......

Hi
More to do with the failing  EU economy, in particular within  Germany, partly driven by car manufacturing faltering due to fall in sales of EV vehicles and increased unemployment,  and the reduction in the EU  interest rates in an attempt to boost the economy throughout the EU.
Add to this mixture Donald Trump and possible trade tarrifs being imposed.

Combine this with the UK maintaining higher interest rates, and voila, the exchange rates increases.
Today it peaked briefly 1.20

Hi
The rates are dropping from 1.20 to 1.17 today

The Euro is now sitting at 5-month highs against the Pound.

It's more a case of weakness in the Pound rather than Euro strength.

The Pound has had a few setbacks lately...

Weak retail sales, tiny economic growth and falling inflation numbers mean the Bank of England may cut interest rates next month – which would be bad news for the Pound.

However if you are thinking of selling euros now is the time.

I just wished I'd have bought at near enough 1.20 a few weeks back. Oh well ☹️ . I'll sit tight and see how it goes now until nearer the time we go to Fuerteventura late May
