Finally Returning!

Hello All. I used to be on this forum quite abit going back to 2006/2007 and my user name was PG32. I met Eggy a couple of times while on holiday there when I stayed at Helios Court Villa. After all this time I am finally coming back July 2025 and cannot wait. I see some names on here I recognise from before and also see that Eggy is still involved. Really hoping that I will live Arillas as much as I did back then. Hope everyone is well

Thank you for signing up again on our forum,
The fact is that the main social media has taken away a large piece of the pie of our comunication,
it is so nice to see people cominig back here year after year.
I'm trying hard to keep our website running ... allthough now with two kids and extra thinkgs to do It is not so easy as it was so many years ago.
I have just realised that our websit this year has its 25th aniversary!!
According to this Article of the past it was the year 1999 when I first came up to the idea to build a website for Arillas.!!

Since then we have had milions of view on this forum thanks to the fiew active members who keep it going....

Dimitris, I remember the site being relatively new back then but was great fun and was good for people wanting to know more about Arillas before they visit. We came 2 years running staying at Helios Court Villa both times, and Brouklis was our favourite restaurant by far. One night a storm was coming and you kindly got one of your staff to drive us back to the villa as it was a bit of a walk!!
Eggy, we first met in coconut I think one afternoon for a drink and a chat then you kindly dropped us back upto the villa and then I met you in Rainbow one afternoon when I came down on a quad bike! I actually scrolled through the forum and found some of my old posts on here!

Going back all those years, it must have been when Frank and Mandy owned the Villa?

Being a tad nosey, but have to ask, have they sold the Villa now? - I haven't seen them for a long while. Quite often I am the last to know the "goings on" around Arillas.

VIlla is now sold to a nice American Couple. I have met them several times in my taverna.
not sure if it still rented to guests but I'll ask and let you know.

Just looked and you can rent it . For our two weeks in August it would be E5600 so a bit out of my price range ! lol . Looks VERY nice

The villa was lovely and certainly didn't cost that much way back then!! The walk back up wasn't very enjoyable but the villa itself was great, pool was lovely, we went in September and while we were still there we booked for the following year. It does look they have spruced it up a bit to be fair!

Hi PaulG! I returned to Arillas 2007 too for my 40th and only one year has been missed (due to covid!). I do remember your handle PG32

Life has changed somewhat since then but not the enduring big love we all have for THE village that is Arillas

I'm so pleased so many people who were on this forum way back then still love Arillas and still visit regular, it fills me with confidence that I will still love it as much as I did back then.

Something will have changed for the worse though Paul ........ the prices.
Joking aside , and this isn't a criticism , but its not the "cheap and cheerful" holiday it once was . Easily on a par with prices where I live in Wolverhampton . If you live in in a more affluent area it may well still be cheap and cheerful , unfortunately I don't ! lol
