TUI FLIGHT'S CANCELLED!

The following is 2nd hand news an "rumours" passed on to me from others , plus Greek Facebook.
One of the problems is that Tour Ops are trying to get Hotel/Appts to "re-arrange" contracts which means take less money. - There are now 5 Hotels , that I know of , who have said "sod you" we do not open for this Summer.

It is possible and , once again based on 2nd hand news, that TUI are linked with these places. If the places concerned do not open that TUI cannot get there to use it.

Read between the lines. So , yes all OK to get here unless where you are staying is not available.

I think that TUI have been the worst culprits during this whole saga. Things like waiting till people has paid there final instalment then cancelling straight afterwards, meaning a wait for refunds whilst that money languishes in their accounts...

Speak as you find.
Apart from holidays being cancelled we have had no problems with TUI.
We booked our June (Skiathos) and September (Corfu) trips in April 2019. We paid the balances on the due dates.

In May we elected to transfer the June holiday to 2021 and the cost was same as 2020.

The latest cancelation was on the July 8th for September . As reported on this post.
We elected for a cash refund. The credit was on my Barclaycard account on the 10th. Barclaycard  have said the money will be back in my current account on  the 13th, the next working day.

We cant complain. Although some peoples experiences are not so good.

Glad your experience was better, it's just that Tui is the name that keeps cropping up

Hi thanks for that.

We checked on the Tui website following their e-mail, cancelling our flight on the Monday, we could fly the following Friday with them for an extra £100, rip off or what!

Hi thanks for that.

We checked on the Tui website following their e-mail, cancelling our flight on the Monday, we could fly the following Friday with them for an extra £100, rip off or what!

Was that flight only? Never had a flight only booking so I am assuming their is no protection as given to  a package apply
On package holidays, you can select another holiday without a rebooking fee, even get up to a  £500 rebooking incentive  if you select a dearer holiday, or of course a refund.
Just glad this year all our holidays were package, although next year we are virgin independents to Corfu at the Mathraki

Yes it was flight only, they have stated that our money will be refunded in full within 14 days.

That could account for people we know who had their TUI trip at the Mathraki cancelled. They were transfered to Kaloudis but 2 days later that was cancelled by TUI !!!

I haven't been impressed with Tui either. They said we would receive our refund within 3 - 5 days but after 14 days and contacting them, we are now being told it will be up to 28 days!
Our son was flying with Jet 2 and his money was in his account within 9 or 10 days.

We found Jet2 to be very good - Cancelled our flights twice!!

1st time money was back in our account within 2 Days.

2nd time money was back in our account within 4 Days.

Good communication & really can't complain.

Still hoping 3rd time lucky...........

Every eone moans about jet2 prices we found them cheaper then other airlines from stansted and the time we wanted no extra for luggage 22 kg and 10kg hand luggage for next year
This just shows a good airline looking after there customers to keep them like Donpipez well done
