Seeing the news today there are dreadful reports of an ongoing ferry fire on what I believe to be a popular ferry route for many from Corfu to Italy. I sincerely hope that all our Greek friends are safe. Sending positive thoughts x

Jo, I thought the same when I heard the news.  I sincerely hope that everyone, whoever they are, will be safe. xx
Also, how awful to hear that yet another plane has disappeared :(  Our thoughts are with them and their families.

My thoughts too are with them and their families right now.

Hoping nobody from  Arillas is on this ferry..... It was travelling from Patras on the mainland, but I don't  know if it calls to Corfu on the way to Italy.

Hope everybody is rescued and all are safe.

Same here Val. Yet another human disaster. Guilty feelings like ours who just wallow in our joy. But nothing wrong with exprerssing our horror at the ferry disaster, or our happiness at being in our place. Life is all about both. See you in beery, happy times in July meluvver!!!

It's hard to equate such tragic news with the "Season of Goodwill" sometimes I do have my doubts that all things have a reason. Think I just think....WHY???

I want to aoplogise if my words seemed flippant and uncaring. It is awful to hear such news in the vicinity of Othoni, or anywhere at all. And now two Albanian rescue workers have died. It has been an unmitigated list of misery both personal and public in what passed as the festive season. My thoughts are with all of those grieving this Christmas.
