Air fares to Corfu seem to show no sign of reducing. I have been trawling the internet for 'bargains', to no avail. Looking for my return flights for September/October this year.
Thomson, at Cardiff are at present at £303 + tax/baggage etc, slightly more from Bristol.
I spotted an old post about Easy Jet from Bristol, so I decided to explore their site. Easy Jet seem to run two price structures for their flights, 'standard' ie. price + baggage + charges, and 'Flexi' which is available up to 120 days in advance, which is a 'what you see is the price' ie. 20K hold baggage/tax/charges/seat choice, all in the quoted price. At the moment outgoing is £102, return is £121, this includes 'quick boarding'. £223 is quite a saving, but having heard so much 'negative' publicity with this company, was wondering what experiences you good folk on the forum have had with them. the other 'snag' is the unsociable flight times, arriving and leaving in the early hours.

Martin.

Easyjet have always been excellent as far as we are concerned Martin and would not hesitate to book them again.

no problem with easyjet martin, no seat numbers, so as long as you get in the q reasonably quickly its fine, and if you travel light, there is no weight restriction on hand baggage, just a size guide, so you can be out of the airport and into your taxi before the crowds waiting at the carosel!!
go for it! the flexi price does seem a lot more expensive for not much though.

Hi Martin, we have never had any problems with EasyJet either.  Agreed, you may get unsociable times, but otherwise we have always found them fine.

Martin, ignore the negativity and keep the £223 in your pocket...or bank it for next year's flights!

We regularly travel with EJ and have never encoutered any problems...they're certainly not to be sniffed at :-)

Ditto Martin. We always use them because of the price, and book within days of the schedule being released. Our flights in July came in at about 190 each return including 2 x baggage. Mind you, the same flight has since doubled in price.

The Bristol times are indeed horrible - takeoff at 5.30pm and arrive Arillas between 12.30 and 1am. Depart Corfu about 11.30pm and arrive Bristol about 12.45am local time.

Never had any problems with the flights themselves.

Hi Martin

We've also used Easyjet flights (from Gatwick) for a number of years and have always found them to be excellent.  The outward flight is at the unearthly time of 5.55 am but the return flight from Corfu is 11.40 am which is fine for us.  We do pay extra for "speedy boarding".

Whichever flights you choose, we hope you have a lovely second Arillas holiday this year.  It was great to meet you again and we enjoyed chatting with you in May.

Hi Martin,

I've used EJ from Bristol several times. Easy to get there via train/bus though I agree times aren't great. I'm flying from Bristol in July and I like EJ, in fact I prefer them to Thomson and Thomas Cook. Good leg room and they seem much more efficient in their on board services.

To avoid the late flight back I've booked to fly back to Gatwick, on a Thursday. Corfu airport is quiet and it's a morning flight landing at Gatwick 1:00pm. Then train from Gatwick via Reading, quite easy and if you book in advance the fares aren't too bad. I've done the landing in Bristol at 1:00am, not again thank you.

I was talking to Dorita a few days after you left. It seems you were there for the first few days of our holiday but we missed you. Hope to catch up with you soon.

Have used easyjet from Manchester and found no problems. No weight limit for cabin baggage is good if you are not going for long but Iknow Martin spends some time at Bardis so may need hold luggage but we did not find that expensive.

Hi
We fly with Easyjet and have not had any problems.
We always wait for the first day of the Summer Timetable to be releasd and this year we booked the flight in Sept 2011 for next week (can't wait) we paid £310 for the 2 of us with baggage.

Good Luck

Thank you all for your experience and advice, very helpful. Will now look at dates etc. and check when Dorita at the Bardis Sun Hotel closes for this season!

Martin.
