I am desperately trying to organise a week in Arillas for all of the family but even though its a year away, its very difficult for everyone to get the same holidays from work. Also  we will have to go in school holidays.

What would help, is Saturday flights, which would mean the holiday dates would not have to spill over into a second week like the Monday flights that we can easily book.

Has anyone ever flown on a Saturday and if so from which airport?

Just been on Skyscanner Terry and put in 17.09.2011 for one week. Came up with Easyjet from Manchester at 0635 flight out. Might be worth having a look on Skyscanner.com

This forum is amazing. Thanks for the replies everyone and it looks like flying from Manchester could be an option on a Saturday but they have no flight details yet for July 2012. Does anyone know when they are announced? Sorry for asking so many questions on a Sunday :-)

Terry m8, we always book EJ on the day they are released. Waiting one day cost us £30 each for this July. They only fly Monday and Friday from Bristol usually, but like Kev says every day from Gatwick.

Watch the forum (silly me -you will anyway) for when to book. Book the flights and then bother about where to stay. There will always be a bed for yous in Arillas. Poppy even said to me this summer "there will alwys be a bed here (at Bardis Sun) for you and Jen."

Hope it works out OK

Terry what about the May/June holiday next year, we are going to Rhodes with our daughter and son-law then, the childrens holidays seem to be quite early next year and manchester E/J flights are out for then I think.
We were in Arillas May/June this year and the weather was beautiful.

E/J normally put their flight details from Manchester up in November.

Terry last year I think it was round about Oct. I'm sure the info will be posted on the forum. Good tip is to book literally in the first few hours as the prices go up really quickly. I paid 750 for five of us return last year in Aug with EJ. This year I paid 1200 with Thomson!

What are EJ like for luggage allowances?

Thanks, once again, for all of the replies. Its a gamble I suppose when you wait to book flights after you have booked your accommodation. Its a shame that my daughter can't have the second Monday off work otherwise we could have booked flights with BMIbaby from East Midlands which fly on Mondays.

I think its worth waiting for Easyjet, even though it will mean a longer trip to Manchester airport.

If it all gets booked up it will mean Helen and I get back from Arillas on the 9th July and will HAVE to go back again on the 21st. We had better start saving but at least we can leave many things in Arillas to save on weight

Hi There Terry - don't know if it's any help but in the early days of our Arillas visits we took a late Fri night flight from Gatwick.
I appreciate its not a Saturday, but I think we flew at about 10.30pm from Gatwick & allowing for travelling time & the time zone difference, we'd arrive in Arillas about 5am Saturday (poor Christos @ Kaloudis used to have to wait up for us). The big advantage was that the collection time from Kaloudis was 7pm on the Fri - i.e. you actually got the full 14 days in the resort.
This was with Thompsons staying at Kaloudis.
