Hello,

Was just wondering if anyone who has been in Arillas recently or is there at the moment has noticed what brand of baby milk that the supermarkets stock. If we could buy some in resort it would be great as it is quite heavy to take and we don't have a very generous luggage allowance. Would also give me a chance to try the wee one on the variety stocked to see if she'll take it before we travel.
Thank you in adance for your time and replies,

Linsey,

Earlier this season a guest of ours couldn't find a British brand of baby milk in Arillas.  Eventually she managed to source Aptamil in Markato (a large supermarket at Sidari crossroads) and also Dimitras supermarket in Roda.

The pharmacy in Sidari has a large range of milk formulas but I cannot remember if she said they stocked UK brands.

There is also a new 'UK' shop which has recently opened in Sidari.  It's located 250 metres past the Sidari crossroads on the way to Roda.  On the left side it's next door to a coffee shop.  I've heard they sell babymilk too, but cannot vouch for it.

Thanks Eileen - it's Aptamil I would be looking for. Might just have to squeeze some in the suitcase but great to know where I can get some if need be.

Hi Linsey,

Have you thought about buying this once you're through to Duty Free?  We fly from Manchester and the Boots there is well stocked with everything you need, might be worth checking if the airport you go from has a Chemist?  It will probably be more expensive but once you're through to Duty Free, you have no weight restrictions on what you buy!

I often wonder why people would buy a TV at the airport though!

Good luck and I'm sure your parents will love it just as much as you!  Let us know x

Good idea Cheryl - there is definitely a Boots at Glasgow through the duty free. Will make some enquiries.

Thanks!

Have to say all this talk of baby milk brought back memories - I thought I was so kool and different when I insisted on Aptimil for our Libz - it was more expensive back then but an alternative to the Cow and Gate or other brands ....oh and I can remember the fuss I had converting my mother in law to disposable nappies - we did the terry toweling ones for about a month or so ....disposables have been another great invention.
