Well said Barry ....... if we all show as much support for the bus as we have this thread then it will be a resounding success.

I have as much knowledge over the running of the bus as it seems you two have about giving constructive comments ..... if you bothered to read the posts you would have known that . So if you have nothing to say about the service or where the post would best suit the forum best keep quiet

and 'BULL' a little more respect next time ....... Jones is my surname not what im called or had you used all your intelligence reading a couple of the posts before replying ? If ignorance is bliss you must be a very happy person .......

I really need to apologize if I caused any misunderstandings.
I did not mean to hide the topic but I always do move topics with no warnings in order to "try" to keep the posts under the right categories.
I must say that I'm a very good friend of the person who started the whole project, and that was after having talked to me about it in the past.
Also, this new service is going to bring a lot more customers to my taverna from other resorts ( and save me from giving them a lift  each time.) therefore I have no intention to "hide" anything about this.

What I do wish to hide sometimes is some of the nasty or ironic  comments between members. They do not represent the local hospitality, culture and tradition that the people of Arillas are offering to the holidaymakers.

Well said Dimitris!!
The most important thing about the site is how it represents Arillas and this sort of thing reflects very badly. I feel sure that the locals must wonder about some of the contributors to the site. Arillas is owned by the people of Arillas not the occasional holidaymakers, however well meaning they may be!
Rant over ,Pat and Annette.

Well said Dimitri, so sad sometimes to read these nasty comments, it really is not the Arillas I have visited for the past 20yrs, well around that, don't know if you will be pleased, lol, but I am able to returned after an absence of 3yrs, will be coming back July 2012, so see you then, all be it in a wheel-chair xx ;-)

QuoteLet's not forget that the aim of this website is not to promote Arillas as much as possible but to help our small beach village to  keep it's Authenticity and attract the right customers  I believe that we all have the power to prevent commercialisation just by being members of this forum.
This was written by Dimitris in 2008 and I dont know what everybody else thinks about it but to me it still makes a lot of sence.
I also think that most people who look at this site do so because somebody else has mentioned Arillas to them. ( I might be completly wrong there) When I first looked on this site I looked at all I could in evry section because I wanted to know all I could before I went, I reckon most newbie's do the same. Can't see what all the fuss is about but what I do know if I was looking for the first time now, this thread would have put me of going. Thank goodness there weren't so many disagreements as now. Viv.

Stay Nude it ante rude

I for one will certainly be chillin out as from tomorrow with an ice cold mythos somewhere in Arillas and at some point will be using the new bus service :-)

Wars are common on forums, but thankfully rare on this one. I said it before, and I'll say it again, this one is about respect, welcome and help. The only entrance fee is wanting to know about Arillas. The personal comments really sadden me, as the whole point is then lost, and people get very hurt. Dimitris expressed my view exactly. Arillas itself is not like that. Respect, accommodate and look after people. That is why so many of us return there year after year, many go more than once a year.

It is time to move on. The bus service will generate income for Arillas businesses, and we should all just get on with using it.

It all started again.

Time for me to call it a day.
Don't think I can continue with all the hassle
