It's really not my year for catching a break, been keeping a close eye on the weather and it's been glorious for weeks!  60% chance of rain/thunder on Tuesday 20th - we arrive 19th!!

Sorry for moaning on but we've had such a cr*p summer in Yorkshire, I was so looking forward to feeling some sun, much needed I can tell you.

Ah well never mind, just have to make sure I pack appropriate clothing this year, got caught out last year being unprepared!

Hope it's just a few odd showers, please, please start doing a sun dance for me now!!

Dont worry about the weather Cheryl i would love to be sat in a bar or Taverna with a storm going on outside as it will still be warm as you tuck into your meal or having a few pints of Mythos
You will be in Arillas and very likeley feel the sun on your back the following morning ,the main thing is just enjoy your holiday :-) PS have you got room for a little un
Have a great time !

We arrive on 26th, over the years we have had every weather type invented, never spoils our time in "heaven"
It will always be better than a yorkshire summer thats for sure- even if it only warm rain!! bring it on.

You'll be fine Cheryl! The weather in Greece happens for minutes rather than for hours :)

And what is nicer than watching the rain fall with a cold beverage in your hand ;)
Life is good ;)

Thank you all - just having a little moan, we'll be fine, just have to re-plan the packing.  When it rained last year, it was cold as well, it poured down solidly for two whole days and we had no jumpers or coats with us.  I know they will need the rain and if it's warm I don't care.  Will make the most of whatever we get.

Sorry Tony the only little un allowed is James x

Cheryl, I'm sorry, but it is probably my fault. As you know, I will also be there next week - so it is bound to rain! Story of my life :-(
Home is where the heart is - CORFU :-)

Cheryl two thin waterproof jackets won't take up much room, and shove a fold up brolly in your handbag. If you take them you can almost guarantee you won't use them. 8) 8) 8)

You're right, Cheryl - Yorkshire weather's been absolute rubbish this year!

We arrive in Arillas in the early hours of Saturday 1st October (for two weeks) so it's more likely that WE'll have a spot of rain or two, but as others have pointed out any bad weather doesn't last for long.

We tend to look on it as a bit of an adventure - rain jackets on with sandals! (Trainers get wet through and don't dry as easily).  I usually wear crocs in conditions like that and leave them on the balcony afterwards to dry out.
Thunderstorms in Corfu are spectacular - as long as you're comfortably seated in a bar where you can watch it all!

After all you and James have been through you need this holiday, so ENJOY (of course you will!) and look forward to hearing all about it on your return
