Hi Forum followers
Glad that Maddy enjoyed the north beach on her two visits.  'Be brave and it's good fun' she says.  Quite agree with that.  Looking forward to renewing acquaintance with the beach, and hopefully old & new friends in September.

I have to agree the north end of the beach is lovely - so relaxed each bit of the beach has it's different charms

See you in September

The last few weeks have been mixed at that end. Just as you think the beach is coming back, the wind gets up or it rains and it is washed away again. I only got there a few times this year - 3 places where you have to wade round rocks. Coming back one evening I was knocked over by a wave and gashed my leg on a rock, which put me off, then it improved a bit, but at the end of last week I had to be rescued by a man (!) who helped me round the rocks by carrying my rucksack on his head as the waves were getting up again. My feeling is, it won't be back until next year I'm afraid. The storms again this week have set progress back again.

Yes, that's what we thought, Sandy, probably next year..............

"I had to be rescued by a man (!) "

If only I could have been that man ! ))

But unfortunately I was elseware.

Next June is a long way off but the booking is about to be made.

Looks as though we had the best of it!

I was in the Horizon having an evening meal on Saturday night. Someone said "Its going to rain "  the Waiter said " no". I wish i had a tenner on it .

Don't know how I missed this. Thought I watched everything on the forum, but I did miss it.

Quotewe'll just have to keep our clothes on next time we meet!!

So reminds me of my second meeting with Sandy. The first lasted twenty seconds outside the bakery, seeing "the hair" walking up the road from Elena Stella to Rainbow with a grey haired old man in tow...

But the second time was on the naturist beach. Jen was in the pool at Kaloudis. I wandered to the North end of the beach and met Sandy. We stood nattering like two old dears, sea lapping round our feet, no clothes on, chatting about Arillas. After ten seconds we didn't care about our state of dress, we just made arrangements to visit. (many thanks Sandy - will never forget kouklospito)

Yes we are dear, but none of Sandy, Phil or Jen will ever be old dears. Even when we are 100 years old.

Looking forward to returning to the beach next May or June.
Can someone hire a digger/bulldozer, and move the sand from South to North please?

Hope I don't burn !

Thanks for the updated beach images Barry.

Interesting how the beach has altered since my wife and I were on it.

She says some of the pebbles look familiar!!!!   ;-)

Glad you're back Adonis, James W.

Arillas' laid back attitude is important to many of us like it is to you. I am intrigued what got you back here on the forum. Welcome. Please stay with us.

Jen and me have visited every naturist beach we could, since we married nearly 40 years ago. Brighton in UK, Cape Cod in Massachussets US - er everywhere it is available.

Loved reading your post.

Hi
Those pics tell the story better than a thousand words.  Julia and I managed around 7 visits to the north beach in mid September, but towards the end of the month were defeated by the spray as waves hit the cliffs.  We needed to wade up to waist deep in several places (which is not too much of a problem), but the spray drenches everything you are carrying.  The north beach was also being washed over by the tide along most of its length a couple of times a day so finding a dry patch of sand was another problem.
Sorry if this sounds like a moan - it isn't - just the facts.  We in fact enjoyed all our holiday and when the north beach was too difficult to access migrated to the south beach where there was more sand and less wading.
Enjoyed Arillas so much have just booked again for September 2010
Best wishes
