I just had a message pop up saying that its due to the amount of traffic on the sites,flight radar is available but with limited options due to traffic

I can't get the websites either. It must be due to the Volcano dust and hence no flights.

I had a read of this.....  http://www.flightradar24.com/about.php#how .....  which was interesting, and I found out why I couldn't see some flights.

Flightradar24.com can only show information about airplanes equipped with ADS-B transponders. Today about 60% of the passanger airplanes and only a small amount of military and private airplanes have an ADS-B transponder. Flightradar24.com has a network of about 100 ADS-B receivers around the world that receives the information from airplanes with ADS-B and sends this information to a server, and then displays this information on a map on Flightradar24.com. Only airplanes within the coverage area of the 100 receivers are visible.

Its a good job none of us were off to Arillas today or tomorrow. Our Quality Manages is stuck in Turkey and we can't be sure that he will get a flight back tomorrow.

we had family arriving from the states yesterday they were diverted to schiphol/amsterdam and are still there we think, a bit of a nuisance for them but at least if they have never been before amsterdam is a nice city to be stuck in.
