Hi Annie

Thx so much for that - is this not part of the Kaloudis village then or is it seperate accomodation...? Bit confused...for a change!

Miriam :)

annie

The Kaloudis Village is owned by 2 brothers Billy and Christos
Billy has the bar pool and top end apartments
Christos has super market and bottom end apartments. As a customer you can use everthing there is no problems i think it is a family thing on how they work there business.
Hence you can contact either for private bookings and 2 different emails for bookings. i have a phone number Roula Critos wife speaks good english and will probably answer the phone if you want the number let me know

Well disaster has struck! Well, not so muc disaster but a slight pickle.  My hubby has just reminded that we are not going to be able to have much fun in the evenings/night if the two of us and our darling daughter are all sleeping in one bedroomed accomodation or the studios which I have been looking at.

Am now tearing my hair out as had just about decided on the Marinaki or Thetis, but neither have 2 rooms from what I can gather..arrrggghh!!

So sorry to be a right pain but am now going to ask the obvious question? Can anyone reccomend something with 2 rooms or 2 bedrooms etc so hubby and I can chill out once the little one is tucked up in bed?  i have emailed a couple of places this afternoon including the Zambeta, the Athina Apartments and Alex Studios....

What a palaver !!

Annie, thx so much for the info - I emailed this a.m and they came back to me with a price but I think its just a little over our budget .... but thanyou for digging out the details....x

Hi Mugreesmum!
The Bardis Sun Hotel has three very roomy 'double family rooms', but only a kettle and a fridge.Did you say somewhere you needed to cook for the little one?
Yammas,
Martin.

Eileen

The Mathraki has one two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor.

I'm sure the Marinaki has a two bedroom ground floor...I can't imagine Jo having her 'night time' fun curtailed by the three boys sharing!  (lol... sorry Jo but I do remember that very funny story about what was in the drawer!!!!???)

There are other accommodations offering 2 bedroom apartments - but it would mean you changing your criteria and staying a little further away from the beach.

Eileen.

Hi Eileen

Yes you are absolutely right about the Mathraki but unfortunatly he has just emailed a few mins ago, and only has studios left which is a shame.....and ditto with the Marinaki...I guess these rooms must be popular esp with families (as you say bit pf privacy needed!!)

The only thing with some of the other apartments a bit further away which have bigger living accomodation is that they don't have pools....so I guess I shall have to forego the pool - and judging by how many people are Arillas Addicts am sure we'll have a good time anyway...

Cheers Eileen

Eileen

How about the Elena Stella which has a pool? It would mean pushing the little 'un in her buggy but I'm sure you could manage! http://www.arillas.com/page/en/mtree/accommodation/studio-apartmetns-1-bedroom/elena-stella-apartments/details/  The website say's that the apartment can accommodate up to 6...surely that means it is bigger than a studio?  It's worth contacting Olga.

Also there are Irene Studios, no pool but a good location near the beach...I notice that on the pricelist there are prices for studios and apartments...again maybe worth an email.

Another accom' and one of my favourites is Thomas Bungalows,  only a 10 mins walk from the beach and owned by Thomas and his lovely wife.  We stayed there when my grandson was 2 years old and we just loved it...there's a real Greek flavour to staying there. There isn't a pool but lovely big gardens for the little one to toddle around in.  The bungalows have 2 bedrooms with seperate sitting/kitchen area, also both a front and back terrace for dining.  http://thomasbungalows.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13&Itemid=27

Good luck,

Eileen.

Hi Martin

Well I didnt know the Bardis had 3 famioly rooms, but I remember the last time you replied to me I looked at it and it looked lovely, and within our budget..the only thing that put me off was the lack of cooker...I am a bit nervous in case the little one decides she only wants baked beans or something....!! But I don;t know perhaps I should tkae the risk.....? Will mull it over.....but thanks so much.....x

MugreesMum

Hi Eileen

Thanks for all those links....am going to look at the websites now.
I remember seeing the Thomas Bungalows and being pleasantly surprised that it didnt cost the earth....

I shall definitly let you know as soon as I have found something...to be honest my hubby and I would stay anywhere - we've stayed in lots of places in different countries which have been v basic and still had a great time....but with a little one I am trying to be a bit more responsible than in my hippy youth!!

Thc ahain Eileen x

Hi Miriam. Sorry I goofed over the ages - I'm allowed to at mine...

We stayed at Elena Stella all of last September. Olga (of Olga's Travel) bent over backwards to help us. We stayed on the ground floor, and we had two rooms, a bedroom opening onto the patio area, a kitchen diner with simple two ring cooker and a fridge, and a bathroom. There was a bed in the kitchen diner, and lots of space. Sounds like it might work for you. As Eileen luvver says it is a fair walk from the centre but not that far. If you walk the other way you have Tria Adelphia, then Vavilas fish taverna and before you know it the other end of the beach.

It has a lovely pool with a shallow end for the kiddies, very safe for them. Contact Olga directly on Eileen's link and mention PhilandJen.

BTW - Eileen calls us two the Arillas Hippies, even at our age....

Best of luck
Phil

The reson you might be struggling to get a booking is because last year there was a wine festival on about the 15 September. If it is on again people that know may have already booked. If you go on 28 August you can get 2 weeks all min for £1293.50 not a bad price for 2 weeks

What about Ina's apts? I think they are two rooms and They are right on the sea front.  Dont forget, you can camp at any pool all day so that really is not a problem. The Horizon and mirage are both next door and both have lovely pools.  The apts we have stayed in which all have two rooms are: -

Tria Adelphia
Marinaki
Bakery
Kaloudis
Marina apt 1 (in front of new pool)
Irene Villas (would definitely recommend these despite not having a pool)

Hi Jenny

Thanks for that info..Yes the Marinaki looks lovely on all the websites .....I take it you had a good holiday? We'd love to stay at the Akti but its just the fact that they don't have cooking facilites that means we can't...because I have to cook for my little one.(!)

Cheers Jenny x

hi there

we have been to arillas 3 times with very small children and have never needed to cook, all the eateries in arillas cater exceptionaly well for kids and are very accomodating if you require something that is not necessarily on the menu

cheers
