I am absolutely gutted have just lost my job and now cannot afford to go to Arillas this year. Luckily I have only lost my £200 deposit. We're gona try and go for a week in September if possible, whats the weather like then??? Please keep posting all your holiday pics to keep me going!!! Very unhappy!! (((((( x

I'm so sorry to hear about your job, but even more so to hear you've had to cancel your holiday. I'm not surprised that you're gutted.

Chin up, one door closes.....and so on!

Go and buy a lottery ticket (- although I think it must be my turn this week, I don't mind sharing   )

Oh Melissa, what awful luck!  So sorry to hear you have had to cancel Arillas.  Hope you find another job soon, and can re-book for September.

Although there might be more likelihood of rain in September, we found it was superb weather while we were there.

Hi Melissa. Do you really have to cancel and lose your £200 deposit? There are many ways you can get through these things. You are clearly going to be employable elsewhere, and bridging a shortfall in cash can be better than losing an opportunity that cannot ever be replaced. After all, it will never be Arillas in 2009 again.

You should never give anything up until it is afterwards. Keep trying to find a way until it is too late.

Oh Melissa! What seriously bad luck. But should you be able to get a new job or win the lottery, September is nice in Arillas. I have been for the past two years for the first week and weather has been just fine

Hi, Melissa.    Sorry about your bad news- hope you find another job soon.
                   We usually go in September, and it`s been great.
                   As others have said, perhaps you can put the deposit  towards later in the year.   Don`t give up hope.

Know how you feel Melissa... we cant go this year either... but as has been said Arillas isnt going anywhere.... if you do make it in September we have been in both June and September and we enjoyed it more in September as the weather was still nice (occasional rainy times which was amazing!) and we could do more as it was cooler and we still came home with a good suntan (and the Wine Festival is usually in September too).
