Hi gaye

Jen and me have never stayed but have spent time round their pool and enjoyed their hospitality. There have been some VERY good reports over the last year and some lovely pictures. They are situated a little way up the hill, but not that far. You can walk down past Thetis palace to the beach near to Kaloudis or down towards the centre if you go right as you leave. We would certainly consider them.

If you go to accommodation in the forum menu, they have a link to their website which will give you details.

Hope this helps
Phil

Hi Gaye,
I'd like to add  my comments on Mathraki studios.  We stayed there for two weeks in September. I cannot fault them the rooms were immaculate and the whole place was being constantly cleaned. The family who own the place are very polite and friendly and as you can expect in Arillas , fantastic views of the village and the sea. It makes a great base for your holiday.

have been looking at all your info for these, how do you get to the beach it seems a long way round the road is there a short cut? from your pics tony, they ar behind the akti? we stayed there last year, and would love to stay there again, but i'm afraid at the moment the package is just too high for us, so i am trying to see if i can do it independantly, have looked at alex studios and these, any suggestions anybody, please!

Hi Ger
Mathraki isn't as far away from the beach as it looks. as soon as you step out of the gates just follow the road straight down and it's only about a 5 minute walk. Mathraki is only about a couple of minutes up the hill from Amourada so it is a good location.

Enjoy

Hi Gaye, Myself and my husband stayed at Mathraki in Sept 08, and found it a fine place to stay. The balconies got sun all day, the ownwers have chickens clucking about through the olive trees, pool nice and clean. The apartments have good ample wardrobes, adequate cooking facilities and utensils ideal for breakfast and lunch.
It was all spotlessly clean, and not far to walk to the beach. Our appartment was right at the end close to the road, which could be a little noisy with quad bikes and scooters going up and down, but that didnt detract from the Mathraki. I guess thats just the contrast to where I live in the sticks and get no traffic going past so anything is noise to me. Book it!!
