I should take mosi spray as they were rife in august i had about 20 bites and Anne had around 30 and thats with mosi off spray with deet, plug ins, and blasting the room with fly spray before we went out lol, i dread to think what we would be like if we hadn't had the spray ,probably just a big red blotch walking around arillas

I would also take anti histamine so if you get the itch you wont spoil your hoilday scratching. Definately take anti mozzie spray as i think the Enlish ones work better that the Corfu citronella ones. Just personel choice. We also tak a fly spray but we normally go in the hot summer months so maybe you wont need the full kit.

Definitely yes. My husband has had to visit our local hospital this morning because of an infected mosquito bite that he got yesterday morning. I doubt that the mossies will pack up their bags and disappear next Wednesday.

OOOOOOOps forgot the hystamine i downed 4 tablets as 2 of the bites on my elbow and hand came up like a balloon lol the piritons took the swelling off within 48 hours

Hi eastie

Antihistamines will not stop you getting bitten, just reduce the reaction. Jen now uses an antihistamine cream if she does get bitten but thank the Lord our protection measures keep her relatively bite free. I have never been bitten, but my time in Arillas has been deeply affected by the way Jen is.

We used to think she wouldn't get bitten until early evening when we sat eating gorgeous Greek food, but her 6 bites last month were morning, afternoon and night. Use the plugins all night (you can buy them locally for 7 euros) and take Boots Jungle Strength spray and any bare skin needs to be sprayed by 7pm. If you can bear it, wear popsox and trousers out in the evening. And wearing the lovely feminine clothes spray everything that is on show.

Beware - they never give up.

All chemist and supermarkets sell anti-histamines. The doctor will only prescribe on medical grounds. You do get more for your money on prescription 28 days worth. Tesco were doing BOGOF in the summer but i dont know now.
