Marias supermarket

Does anyone know if Marias supermarket, situated betweem Makris and Kokinos is open this year. It was open the year before last but not last year. She was a lovely lady who always had a bit of a giggle with my young ones.

Marias supermarket is now a bar. It opened on Saturday, and they do snacks as well as drinks. It's run by Perry and Joanne Tsoukalas, and they are a lovely couple, so if anyone is passing there, go in and try it out. I wish them very good luck with the bar,  (Artemis bar) it's nice to see that premises open again.

Now that sounds like a nice place for a last nightcap when walking round the "circle" back to our studios at the BS Hotel this year.  What a very good idea!

Never thought of that BG, I do that circle about 7.30 in the morning. I wonder if they will be open.

I don't believe it.........Will there be loud music........?

We are across the road at Dimitri's Studios.........Oh deary, deary me.......Loud music is just not for us.......

Please tell me it's not a noisy bar like the ones in the centre of town.......

I wouldnt have thought it could be the same as the Coconut or Malibu.  It doesnt necessarily mean they will play loud music, perhaps it will be somewhere quiet to chill out.  If it is loud you could always pop over and ask them to turn it down a bit, it is in a very quiet area of Arillas I know and they would respect that.

It was so convenient to have Maria's across the road from us and now we will have to haul water up the hill....moan moan moan.....

Unless the bar will sell big bottles of water to take out maybe?

But on reflection......having a bar across the road.........mmmmmm....I wonder if they deliver?? Tee! Hee!

Sounds great will have to give it a try as we are staying at the Makris a couple of hundred yards away when we arrive just a week on monday.It`ll give me somewhere to sneak off to for a quiet Mythos while Debs watches the kids LOL

Chris & Marks mum, I can safely say that there won't be loud music. Perry & joanne said that they won't stay open til the wee sma hours, cos there are close neighbours. If it's getting late tho, they can  and will move people inside so as not to disturb residents.
I'm sure it will be fine.(They don't play 'pop' music, it's greek music or nice laid back quiet stuff. )

I am sure that there will be no loud music. I spoke to Joanne  at the Horizon last week, just before it opened. They mainly want to provide snacks and picnic type food.

It was also very interesting to hear about the filming of the Rick Stein program at their house. They had to film it twice because the camera crew lost the tape from the first day so it had to be done again the next day. Joanne and Perry's daughters were sad because they were filmed more on the first day than the second day which meant that they were hardly seen on actual program. I have it on DVD somewhere so I will have to watch it again.

Yes, I'm quite getting used to the idea now. 

So if they are going to sell snacks & pic-nicy type food, I wonder if they will sell "big water" to take back to the apartment?
