I got 1.223 yesterday (after a bit of haggling!)  so works out roughly the same.  It was at Thomas Cook, they were originally offering 1.21 but I told them what Althams were displaying in the window and they matched it.  Pays to shop around and to be cheeky!

Arillas shows e 1.242 today.

A slight drop but I still think e 1.255 around the end of this month.

What do I know? - Couldn't get euro 2008 right!

Hi All,

I went to Thomas Cook last week and told them i had been offered 1.225 by First Choice, small white lie, they then offered me 1.23. They also had an offer if you put over £500 on a cash card loaded with Euros you get an extra 25 euros on top of what you put on the card.Apparently you put this into an ATM and draw euros out and it only charges 2 euro per transaction (max 700 euro a day). Not bad considereering you get 25 free.

That is great news Negg.

Hope it is on the way up. The fuel prices (petrol and diesel )have dropped over here at the moment. Gas and electric on the rise though.  Can't win.
