Thanks for checking Negg you are a gent, its still better than over here!
M&S are at 1.21 here today...... so we are still a little behind.
Today I'm just grateful I decided that I preferred Monarchs flight times to XL's!!

Hi All
Yesterday the Post Office gave me a shade over €1.21 to the pound on over £500.
This compares with €1.18 they gave me for the same amount in May 2008.
However last year they were doing €1.35!
Best wishes to all at or heading for Arillas

BP

A choice of places and they all charge 2% commission. The exchange rate is usually the same at all of them.

So would I Mick & Jill - so would I :-)
It's pretty encouraging though isn't it? Creeping up nicely.
Thanks ever so Eggy for your timely reports. I'll take some out with me, but buy the bulk in Arillas I think.
Not long now :-)

Today the currency exchange rate at Travelex http://www.travelex.co.uk for Euro is 1.2224.  Is it a good rate to buy from this site.  They offer online ordering option since i urgently need some money to travel this weekend?

Thanks so much for this regular update Eggy - it's been invaluable.
Do you think you might be able to give me one more update tomorrow - before we set off on Saturday?
Sorry to be a pain in the bottom - it will just help me determine how much sterling I'll exchange in Arillas.
Only if you're able to :-)
