Late booking, returning to Arillas in early May for 10 days at the Rainbow. Prev stayed at Annas and looking forward to not climbing that hill every night after a few Mythos

After watching the splendid DURRELLS last night I wonder if there will be a rush of bookings for Corfu.  Glad Julia and I booked long ago for our favourite Arillas.  I especially enjoyed the glimpses of Corfu town and country.  Loved Gerald's expeditions to the lake at San Stephano, seeing flamingo, and gathering up a tame pelican.

We've visited Arillas 3 times 2007, 2008, 2009 and then due to various personal reasons we have been unable to visit again.  That is until now, we have just booked to return to Arillas next year and will be flying out mid July 2017.  while it is still 437 days away (not that I'm counting,) we are already excited at returning to see everyone.

Just booked for June 2017 two weeks at the Mathraki.....that's three holidays at the Mathraki that we have booked 😀

13th May, 13th June and then 15th June next year. Just got to book a later one for this year and as the Mathraki is full for September think it will be hard to choose.

That is organisation Val but then I guess you have to be to be guaranteed your favourite place. What date do u leave in June Val? We arrive 26th. It would be lovely to meet you.

Sonia, we would love to meet you too....but we arrive on 13th June and leave on the 27th so we will have to squeeze it in when you arrive or before we go to the airport which is in the afternoon...might be a bit tight this year Lol, but we will see what we can do.

That's got to be the first booked for 2017 Val? I'm impressed! Where do you fly from and what are the flight times?
If that's where you definitely want to holiday again next summer then I don't blame you one bit!

Suzy... We fly from Manchester, the times are not too bad, but as we all know flights can be altered so we are not worried as long as we arrive in Arillas 😃

BTW we are not the first to book 2017, I think Harold and Sally booked a few weeks ago.

Thirteen sleeps till our first visit to Arillas for 2016 just the taxi to the airport to arranged.

Suzy, each visit is just as exiting as the first, especially when we go in May and notice all the small changes in the village, last year when we arrived Sept/Oct it was great to see all the owners starting to gradually pack things away and knowing that they could begin their "holidays" as soon as the season was completely over.

I can't imagine that it's a bowl of cherries working dawn till dusk without a break from May to October for all the great friends who give us such wonderful holidays and.... also carry on living a normal family life throughout the season. I think we should also remember that their hard work starts well before the first visitors arrive.

New to the forum but we are staying in the Mathraki from the 15th July for 2 weeks can not wait, we have only been to arillas once before and stayed at the Rainbow, we have never been to
the Greek Islands this late in the season.

Hi moo2404 welcome to the forum. It's obviously hotter in July. Looks like you have got the bug though and falln in love with beautiful Arillas like all us Arillas Addicts. It's amazing how many people return time and time again.
